After so many sleepless nights, I finally enjoyed a good night's sleep. I feel fresh and brand new. Some of the old wounds are fully healed up, my hair is washed, braided up with wildflowers and I have a comfortable powder blue gown on.

"Princess, I must say, you look extra beautiful today.." Freida says. She usually doesn't talk much when she does my hair or gets me ready. I thank her and head down to breakfast.

Lucian looks glum and has his plate of food untouched. Adonis is sat next to him, his words inaudible.

"What's the deal, Luci?" I ask him.

Adonis explains everything. How we have to team up with Kodurk in order to get the southern part of Monter. And I know why Lucian doesn't fancy the idea. He is like father. Never need anyone else's help or ideas. Works alone. Well, that is definitely going to change.

"King Lux made an appearance?" Laylea enters, holding her plate full of goodies, taking a seat next to me. Her tone is almost a gasp like she can't believe what happened.

"Yeah. And the talk was serious." Adonis explains. His long hair is untied and is parted on one side now. His hair comes up to his shoulders, looks silky, I wonder how it will feel to touch.

"Ughh Adonis, no birds on the dinner table, I told you..." I look sideways to see what Laylea is referring to. An owl and a hawk just flew in, with a paper tied to the owl's feet.

"Helge, what's good buddy?" He says as he unties the note and reads it.

His facial expression is unreadable but I notice his eyes have a mere sense of panic in them.

"We have to go to Wyn's."

Wyn lives in a tiny cottage that has two rooms and a kitchen. The inside of it is so warm and cozy and is very well lit. Wyn's mother appears in the kitchen, cooking up warm milk with a side of chocolate cake.

"Wyn, tell me everything.." Laylea holds Wyn's hand while Wyn explains what happened.

"A dragon baby? In your house? How?" Adonis fires questions at Wyn and he looks clueless.

"I don't know. All I know is that, I woke up today and my mother was shrieking. I came down, saw it, and caged it."

"How big?" He asks.

"Probably three years?"

"A three year old dragon? Undiscovered?" Adonis looks straight up discombobulated.

"Could they have escaped Monter? Does that mean they have more surprises?" Laylea's voice is edged on fear. But she hides it well. The house just got more colder.

Adonis holds the big cage in his hands and everyone gets on their horses with horns, which are called Zersies, I'm told, and get back to the castle.

The baby dragon is not so much baby, and more dragon. It somehow seems to have grown an inch in the past hour.

"It's not three. It's a newborn."

Tellia says after using equipments on the dragon. Its sleepy and barely has any teeth.

"How can that be? The baby dragon we have, will take thirty more years to grow big." Gervic says.

"Well, has anyone checked on it since it was brought? No. I know that's because we are all scared of it's mother. But we should probably go check." Tellia says as Zurko and Tellia go to dungeons and come back just as quickly.

"It's definitely grown." Tellia has sweat beads on her forehead and her hand trembles as she takes a sip of a coloured drink.

"How big?" Adonis asks her.

"Looks about fifteen." She replies gulping down the rest.

Everyone in the room just looks stunned.

"The adult dragon hasn't grown as much. We brought up the now adult dragon, so I don't know how the growth of this one is much different." Tellia looked puzzled.

"The adult dragon had blue scales and spikes. It has sharper teeth and bigger eyes. I don't know about the baby in the dungeon, but this one is grey. It's grey and green and it's more slender, looks like it could move fast. Look at the legs. Definitely a runner. Perhaps the father of the baby in the dungeon might be of a different kind." I say, still observing the dragon.

"Wow, that's ... I never thought of that." Tellia says. Adonis kind of just stares at me with awe. Maybe I'm imagining the awe factor. Wyn slowly nods like he just got what I was saying.

"You need to speak more often." Laylea tells me in my ear and gives me a smile.
