Adonis, Laylea and Wyn were sent to the infirmary while Lucian and I were not in need of medical assistance.
"You know how to swat them off really well, huh?" Tellia's eyes have a glint to them as she compliments me and my brother. Her hair is short as a boy's and is strikingly white. I notice the resemblance to Laylea's face, same long, upturned nose, pale complexion and pale blue eyes that have a hint of purple. Laylea did not tell me about Tellia being her mother.
"Well, Luci did most of the work..." I begin to say and Tellia shakes her head, tutting.
"He is very good. But you are amazing as well. And please, stop it with the comparison, sweetheart." Tellia walks away with style in her heavy clad armour towards Zurko and head towards the stables where they keep the huge horses with horns.
"Do you think father will come for us?" Lucian asks. This question catches me off guard. He never questions father. He used to trust him with all his might. 'Father is the strongest person ever, Lori. ' he used to tell me when we were about ten.
'Nothing will happen to us, ever.' He used to have the biggest smile ever. I still see in the back of my head, his smile. I can feel the sun when I look at him. He looks scarily like father.
He is seated across from me in the huge formal dinner hall. They have enforced stronger diets than mushrooms soup and bread. Boiled eggs, cooked meat and a lot of pulses and vegetable side dishes. I think Luci finally found his appetite right as Adonis and Wyn walk into the hall. Adonis sits next to me while Wyn sits next to Lucian.
Out of the blue, the three of them engage in conversation and I feel left out.
I concentrate on my eating, since I need to be healthy.
"You okay?" He had suddenly dropped his voice, directed just to me. My mouth suddenly feels dry even though I just drank water.
"Yeah. How's your arm?" I ask him back. During the session two days ago, he had sliced his palm and had purple bruises on the other one.
"Still bandaged up, but fine." He says, turning his head to face his plate again. After a beat he says, "you need to teach me on how to get those Delphirs. Little buggers are so slippery..." The serious look on his face made me almost choke on my food. It was quite funny that he thought Delphirs were bad. I guess Bàms are more common here so it makes sense.
The almost choke made him turn his head towards me. An eyebrow raise. A question. Probably 'what '. I give him a shrug of my shoulder and hide my smile.
