"Wake up!!" From the shadows of the room, I hear the annoying voice of my uncle.
"Uncle Gervic, what is-" I slowly open my eyes to find Gervic and Zurko both standing right infront of my bed.
I quickly put my coat on, wash my face and walk out with them.
"Is it King Lux?" I ask as Uncle Gervic and I try to keep up with Zurko.
"Yes. That bastard doesn't have a sense of time..." He lets out a yawn.
The rest of the walk to the Queen's formal dining room was in silence. Zurko opens up the grand doors and I see my mother, hands clutched, fingers intertwined and face in a state of nervousness.
"Son" she says as she catches me looking.
"You wanted me for this, mother?" I ask her, still processing why I've been brought here.
"I need you to observe. I know you are the best at it. You're next in line and I want you to be aware of everyone and everything." She says and goes back to fidgeting.
"Are you afraid?" I take a seat next to her.
Her chocolate brown eyes catch mine. She looks like she didn't get much sleep. Her look gives me answers that I need. She is scared of how Lux might react.
A minute or two later, King Lux along with three of his representatives walk in. His greying hair is now almost fully white. The two men and the woman who walked in with him, all wearing light pastel colours. Their skins are more tan and beautiful that I can even notice them in the candle light.
Queen at the head, King on the opposite head and all the representatives stood on either sides.
"Daliya," he begins. I notice his demeanor. Nervous, scared. But not as much as my mother.
"You look unwell." He says.
"If you think I'm scared of you, you're wrong. Don't get any ideas." She avoids any eye contact. My mother is a very bad liar.
"Tell me. What did you plan? " his words are cut out very precisely.
"I need your children. They belong in Kodurk. You can't take them away like you did with Seleya." I hear a small noise of disapproval from right of me. Gervic's not happy I'm assuming.
Lux's eyes have a blaze of fury in them. His voice is just a bit higher than before.
"I didn't kidnap Seleya, if that's what you were hinting. I'm not like you, Daliya."
This made my mother shake just a little bit.
"Let's fight them in Monter together. Let's join our forces. Split the land." She suggests.
"Thestronia is closer to Monter. I can't just give it you." He says.
"Wrong. You are closer to the southern part. We are more closer to the north. We have just as much right as you." She seems more stoic at this stage.
Silence akin to a graveyard fills the room.
"When will you let them go?" He asks, now staring at her face.
"When you agree to help is win."
