For the past two weeks, it has been continuous training. Almost two hundred of the gifted docked the port of Kodurk from Thestronia. Fifty of the gifted of Kodurk combined with the gifted of Thestronia were trained together in mini fighting arenas. The enormous arsenal of the kingdom consists of any kind of weapon you can imagine.

Scythes, powerful staffs, axes and hammers with a sharp behind, daggers that could cut through thick scales, swords as big as me. Giant men who live in the forests brought in their own collection.

More blades, swords, spears, metal spiky balls, nun chunks and bows and arrows filled the inventory as more were brought in by my father. He is still refused access to meeting us.

Our mode of transportation to Monter will be first through land. Using Zersies we travel through the mountains, when we reach the water, we switch over to cruising using more creatures called Seyturgs, they have a flat back and are very light weight hence can swim at a very high speed. Then comes more forest and then grasslands. Seyturgs are usually harmless just like Zersies hence taming them will be easy.

"Everything understood?" Zurko addresses the theatre of five hundred people. This group will be split into two. 250 of the first team will travel to get to Monter and fight. Whilst the others are back up. The first 250 are also split up. There are gifted and plain soldiers in each group.

I'm travelling with Laylea, Lucian, Adonis, Wyn, a bunch of other gifted and plain soldiers. The king and the queen will stay back until the very end.

"Are you nervous?" Lucian asks me. We are sitting on the terrace, in cozy chairs, staring at the sky.

"Are you?" I ask him without looking at his face.

He stays silent. He'll never say yes and I will never say yes. That's what we were taught to do. Never back down.

"We will meet him, Luci. What do you think he'll tell us?" I ask him.

"I don't know." His tone suggests to me that he is on the verge of breaking down even though I've never seen my twin break down.

"I miss mother." The end of the sentence gets me choked up.

"I do too..." He says and I turn to look at him. A single tear drop runs down his face. I touch his face and wipe it away. He looks at me, I can see the water filled eyes. Our eyes speak to each other. We are always there for each other.

He breaks the eye contact and rakes his hand through his hair, swiping all of it back.

"We'll win, Luci." I say, "tomorrow when we leave, our lives will change. Real world, real combat with other people. We'll win."
