The sunlight pours in through the huge floor to ceiling windows, particles of curled glass frames the windows. The library is dead silent without Lucian.
"You coming?" Just as I predicted, Lucian has come back for me.
"Luci, not today. I already told you."
"Leora, you know what will happen if father knows, right?"
There it is. The threat that I have to hear ten times each day. Luci and I walk in silence. The afternoon brought mild heat but the rays are strong as ever. Thestronia has only ever seen sun. Nights are something I have only ever seen in pictures and in books about the other parts of the world.
Luci opens the grand doors and we are outside. I walk over to the changing station and start to change. My daily attire mostly consists of salmon pink, ruffly gowns. Today I had chosen a simple, baby pink long dress with jewels at the bottom. I definitely don't want any blood on this. I change into a deep red fencing suit that even has a mask attached. Just like a fencing suit.
The doors to the amphitheater open on the other side just as I unleash DEIMO. Yes, I know it's a pretty dark name for a sword of the land of sunlight, but when you are up there, infront of thousands, slaying a demonic monster, it seems fitting.
The doors open. I walk into the very large ground, covered with grainy sand. My boots are heavier than usual today. Today is more of a lazy day for me, I guess. The doors on the other side open and I smell and hear that one before seeing it. Garou, the one with eight eyes. He is pretty dangerous if you are gullible.
The seats are empty as this is a practice session. Mostly, the people of the Threstonia are invited to watch. Luci fghts more than me. So he has more viewers. I'm sure he is doing the same as me in the next theatre.
The six legged, brown creature has horns which are almost my height. Thick, transparent liquid is drooling out of its mouth where I spot the famous teeth that could rip apart fifty rhinos.
"Princess Leora Demi M'tegean Zagreus of the Zagreus kingdom, fights Garou. Practice session - one."
Oh Lords, if the first one is Garou, I wonder what the other nine will be?
