I probably ended up sleeping for about twelve hours. My room was huge, it has a four poster bed with light netting and a fireplace. For the first time in my life I was in desperate need of the soft yet thick blanket.

Whatever the Queen said yesterday immediately left my mind as my head hit the pillow. But I remember them now. Most of the things she said were new information, but I haven't decided if I want to believe them. Someone speaks from behind the door after they knock,

"Her majesty wants you to start getting ready for the practice session... "

Ahh yes, she did mention that as well. We will have to work our asses off till my father comes looking for us.

I open the door and see Reina, standing there, with her tray of folded towels.

"Don't get the wrong idea, I'm not a maid here..." She gives the tray to me and walks away.

After a long bath and change of clothes, I head downstairs to eat breakfast with Lucian. He's wearing similar kit as me. Soft comfortable shirt underneath a tough metal armour that is also stylish somehow because of the use of leather.

The amphitheater is really big but not as big as the one at home. I look up at the stars. They connect to make little shapes. I unleash DEIMO, it doesn't shine as I take it out though. Lucian takes out his sword which is almost twice as big as mine but is very plain. His eyes look sad and almost as if he was crying. His amber hair matches the khaki coloured attire.

"You don't have to start just yet." Laylea comes from behind us.

"We go first, Laylea, Wyn and I." Adonis says, hands in his pockets, looking at the floor. Wyn apparently is the same guy whom Laylea called her date. While Adonis has his hair tied at the back, Wyn has much shorter hair which is curly and all over the place.

Lucian and I were accompanied by Tellia, Gervic and the head of the military, Zurko Curio. Zurko was a middle aged, wise looking man with a dark complexion. He had a serious face and a serious posture. We are seated at the top box of the open theatre to get the best view. They had offered us drinks of different colours of the rainbow.

"Wait, what are we fight-" Lucian's whispers to me were abruptly cut by the loud noise of the announcement,

"Adonis Blagden, Laylea Riogue Tairnun with the gift of edges, Wyn D'lenzio with the gift of power and strength, practice session - one."

That's interesting. Laylea and Wyn are gifted as well. I know a lot of people in Thestronia who are gifted but they always made it out that anyone with royal blood is more powerful. I know that's not true. Luci's gift is same as Wyn's. Mine is sharp awareness and knowledge of the enemy, and strength but not as much as Luci.

The gates open and I see one I've never seen before. It stands on two legs and has about four arms. Its 13 feet tall and has the scent of a rotting carcass. It bares its fangs as it runs towards them. Adonis whips out his set of bow and arrows and starts aiming for one of its several eyes. Laylea has a silver sword that glows each time she tries to stab its foot and Wyn has whipped out a huge metal ball attached to chains that has sharp thorns all over it.

Adonis hits the bullseye and the arms go flailing to it's face. Laylea runs to get high ground and jumps from the pillar just like I used to do and ends up chopping off a forearm. The creature has an awful wailing sound by the way. It's sound rips through the air and Adonis covers his ears. Wyn releases the metal ball that ends up hitting the creatures stomach and ruptures it. This one absolutely stood no chance against the three.

The roar behind the gates indicate that the next one is ready. It's released even as the first one stands. It's not the same creature. This is a Delphir. I noticed the sudden change of momentum in Adonis's and Wyn's bodies as it nears them.

The first one kicks it's unharmed feet at Wyn and he stumbles backwards and falls gently. It's impressive how he wasn't thrown off. Right when that happened Laylea looked over at him and the Delphir ran over to her and ripped through her hand. Her strong metal armour was just covering the right area.

"AGHHHH YOU STINK " Laylea screams on top of her lungs as she uses the blue sword to cut off one of its six legs. Adonis kept shooting arrows at the first one and now it lays on the floor, not moving. Wyn jumps over and through the first one and sticks his sharp weapon through the hind legs of the Delphir and uses it's tail to climb up just like how I used to. He then makes a huge leap to get to the head but the Delphir suddenly stands on it's hindlegs.

Adonis starts aiming for eyes yet again and Laylea runs through it with her sword. Something is off. Her sword doesn't do the needful and the Delphir still stands. It bows its head and pushes over Adonis with it's sharp horns that sets him flying.

"IT'S GOING FOR HIM!" Wyn screams as he tries to stay on the slick behind of the Delphir and fails. Laylea runs to Adonis before the Delphir can and right when it bows, she sticks her sword in its eye and moves it around nicely so that it feels the pain. Wyn gets a grip and shoves the spiky ball at it's head. Laylea then takes a different sword and uses it to slice through it's head.
