That smell. I know that smell. Like molten lava and grease. I throw my eyes open, some sleep still lingers. I know I didn't imagine it. I get up from the pile of sleeping bodies and try to sniff it out.

The scent gets stronger, the sky turning a little lighter. Maybe we are close to land. And I do see it. Land. Thick trees, more Seyturgs cover the shore.

Sounds of huge wings flapping. I look up to see what I feared. A dragon is soaring through the sky. Twisting and turning as it enjoys the early flight. I can't make out much, but I understand that it has huge wings and a body smaller compared to it.

"It is a Feri dragon. Smaller bodies, but huge wings. They can wipe you out in less than a second with those." Mayi has got up and is dragon watching with me.

"That means the land..." I begin,

"Contains more of them..." She finishes my sentence.

When we reached the tall grass and thick trees, the sun had risen fully. We thanked the Seyturgs by picking out more fishes and they sailed back to Cabona.

"More grilled fish?" Tellia asks me, passing me more of it. I'm sure I'll puke it all out.

"No thanks. I'm full."

"I know you're lying." She lets out a chuckle.
"By the way, good call on the Feri dragon. The land ahead could be much more dangerous than before. But also helpful. Go ahead and help those healers pick out herbs. This forest has a lot of it."

She points to a small group of people, all of them different looking, handing out papers to the other soldiers.

On my way to the healers, I spot Lucian making friends with Mayi. She laughs at a joke that he probably cracked. Weird that. He's always serious when I speak to him. And hasn't smiled at all since arriving at Kodurk. But right now he's beaming.

"Hey Luce. Come help the healers." I tell him when I get to him.

"Yeah sure. Forgot about the healers." He smiles stupidly.

"There's something on your face." I tell him blandly. He touches his face all of a sudden, worried about his appearance.

"Mayi, what's on my face? " he turns and asks.

"She got you. She's messing with you, Luci." She laughs at him.

Strange strange strange feeling. Luci. No one, I mean no one calls him that except me. Even though I know what is happening, I'm still confused about how I feel.

"Everyone, listen! You are required to wear special armour created for you, collect it from M'tiiti. And please make yourselves useful by helping the healers, Deon Hilze, Fiyara Ghoru, Juikzu Kervez and Shelke Leevekitz." Announces Gervic. I hear a lot of familiar names.

"And also go out to get some food. I know you're sick of eating fish." Tellia says as she flashes a smile at me.

We are not by the lake anymore. We moved in deeper and set up camp in a clear area with just grass and mud. The healers camp is big and spacious with a lot of equipment. I wonder how they carried it through the journey.

"Hi, how can I help?" I peek in through the curtains.

"Princess Leora," her voice is so calm and zen. She has  a striking resemblance to Mayi and I already know who she is.

"You're Fiyara. Mayi's sister?" I say.

"Actually no. I'm her cousin. Good guess though. Here, the list and where you can get it." Assuming that she doesn't want to speak anymore about any of it, I silently nod, taking the piece of paper in my hand. As I turn around I bump into someone.

"Ow, Oh I'm so sorry I-" The person I just bumped into is, the best way to describe him, just gorgeous. Strong face structure, blue eyes and light brown hair. Straight out of a dreamy romance novel.

"Hi, uh nice to meet you." For some random reason, I put out my hand for him to shake it.
"Call me Shelke." He smiles with all of teeth. He's just a sight, oh my Lords.

I smile at him while plainly staring. It's rude, I know. But I can't stop.

"Oh, I'm so sorry. I was experimenting with potions. Probably still have a scent of the love potion." He probably noticed me drooling at that point.

A Leevekitz. I am a huge fan of Leevekitz's poems. I'm assuming this guy is his son and also a healer.

"I love your father's poems." I am a bit breathless, the potion's effects has been wearing off, but only by a little.

"Shelke, I need the list-" Adonis has stepped into the huge tent and has stopped his sentence mid way when he noticed me.

"Leora."

"Adonis." We exchange each others names and nothing else. He gives Shelke a dirty look and snatches a list from behind him. He takes it from Fiyara, turns around and marches to where he came from. His jaw was tight and eyes sharp. He's angry.
