Leora - hidden light

Chater ten (Lucian)

Leora looks confident. I have never fought alongside my sister, not even practice. Father never allowed her to face real challenges.

The gates open and there I spot a large figure. It looks horrendous and has no features on its face except a mouth. It runs straight ahead , targeting me. When Tellia saw my sword, she said that I needed something in my zone, whatever that means. So she gifted an enormous axe that definitely brings impact.

Leora steps in, DEIMO in her hand and makes a huge leap, sticking the sword through the creature's head. She pulls it out and the creature loses it's balance. We hear another wail and three more of them run towards us. These ones are super fast for their size. Four monsters to kill.

I take my axe, reeling it back for impact and then hit one of them, straight in the gut. Leora fights off another one by chopping off head. Yes, an entire head.

"Luci, get their heads. They're smaller than Delphirs. That's how we get them.." She says and zips past me to distract the creatures and to tire them. She runs her sword through one of them and it leaks purple liquid. It stumbles but does not fall. I aim to chop off the head when I strike exactly at the slender neck. A head rolls off and more purple stuff ooze out.

One more left, Leora and I charge at it with all our might, she attacks from behind and I, front. A head and two legs down, the creature whimpers and cries until it finally doesn't.

"Wow that was impressive, Lucian and Leora." The Queen has joined the party.

"You fought four off quickly, even though you've never seen them. That's a gift right there..." She smiles and waves at her son. Adonis has suffered minor injuries in the combat. Being as the one without any powers must be hard, I wonder if that gets to him. If he keeps up with his gifted friends, he probably is a hard worker.

Leora and I go again. Two Delphirs and one Bàm. Bàm is the first creature that Adonis and his friends fought. I have obviously seen Leora slay and kill. But both of us fighting the same thing was a surreal experience.

The Queen applauded us again. "So quick to fend them off, you two. Well done..." She sounds very impressed.

The next round however, I was paired with Wyn. This man looks like he forgot to shave this morning, having a slight stubble and tired eyes, he does not look like a fighter. However, that went well. He and I work well together. Three Bàms and two Serpents. Never fought Serpents before, only even seen snakes. This one was atleast 20 feet. This round took the longest. Wyn looked exhausted after it and I was ready to go again.

Leora, Adonis and Laylea next. They had to fight Three grand Hedges, the one with the most horns and three Bàms, which I think they did a really good job killing off. I have noticed they have more Bàms here, just like how we have Delphirs. All of their creatures are either dark furred or purple coloured.
