Christmas morning Cassie woke up alone in her dorm due to Angelina, Alicia and Katie choosing to go home for the holidays.
She took her time getting ready for the day knowing the twins and the Lee would still be asleep. She curled her hair and applied her makeup. Rummaging through her wardrobe, choosing jeans and a cream jumper that made her hair and usual red lipstick stand out.
Catching her reflection in the mirror she stopped. Analysing her features, noticing not even her makeup could hide her eye bags. "You've got this! Just one day of pretending you're fine." She finished her pep talk with an extra layer of lipstick before gathering her presents to leave in the common room.
She pushed the door of Ginny's dorm to see her and Hermione struggling to carry all their presents. A small chuckle leaving her lips as Ginny went flying over a book on the floor, making her land near Cassie's feet. "Morning Gin" she smiled, extending her hand to help the younger girl up.
After successfully getting Ginny and Hermione's presents downstairs the three made their way through the deserted corridors to get hot chocolates for everyone, a tradition Remus had started with her when she was young.
Leaving Ginny and Hermione to wake Ron and Harry, Cassie crept into the boys dorm to see them still sleeping, unsurprisingly. She tiptoed over to Lee's bed, covering his mouth as she shook him awake. His eyes shot open as he threw his arms in the arm, narrowly missing her head. "What are you doing?" He whispered after pulling her hand away.
"It's Christmas! You should be up so help me get dumb and dumber up." Lee nodded, grabbing a pillow as he got up, catching onto his idea Cassie grabbed a spare pillow and made her way to Fred's bed.
They counted down to three before they started to repeatedly hit the two boys. "It's too early." George mumbled as he hit Lee around the head with his own pillow. Cassie continued to hit Fred until he grabbed her wrist and pulled her onto his bed.
"Not fair." He grumbled into her hair, feeling her shrug he began to tickle her sides.
"Okay! Okay! I'm sorry to interrupt to your beauty sleep" He continued to tickle her as she struggled to get her words out. "Stoppp" she whined.
Fred stopped, pulling himself out of bed to lean against the bedpost, running his hand through his hair. "Why did you have to wake us up so early? George needs his beauty sleep"
"Oi"
"Because it's Christmas" Lee exclaimed. The twins turning to face each other as their smiles grew.
