The week after the twins birthday everyone was focused on the Quidditch final. Oliver had them training at all times possible, even if it meant four or five in the morning. Which did not help Cassie's sleep problem. It was no secret that they were determined to win but for Oliver he needed to win. The cup hadn't been won by Gryffindor since Charlie was on the team.
Every night in the common room was the same. The girls were always huddled around a table studying Oliver's strategies and their school work. The twins and Lee would plan pranks and occasionally study when Cassie forced them to. The rest of Gryffindor house got use to Oliver sitting in the corner of the room, his Quidditch figurines on the table in front of him, muttering away to himself about tactics causing him to occasionally shout ideas to Cassie.
The day had finally arrived and even full of anxiety Cassie had managed to sleep well for once. She changed into her Quidditch uniform before joining her team on the way to the hall. Seeing Oliver already there pacing up and down Cassie sighed knowing he was going to be an anxious mess.
"Oli, you need to eat!" Angelina said to him offering him her plate, fed up with his sighs from behind her.
"I can't"
"Yes you can, don't make me force you!" Cassie grunted. Oliver sat down with a huff and started to eat from her plate. "Can I have some of your food Cass? Of course Oli, help yourself." She mumbled when two plates were immediately pushed in front of her, she looked up to see George and Fred grinning at her.
Just as she was about to take some food from their plates Oliver abruptly stood up and pulled her away from the bench. "Team to the field!" He ordered.
"But food!" She whined, looking back at the table. A piece of toast was shoved in front of her face as a arm slung around her shoulder. She looked up and smiled. "Thanks Georgie."
The team stood gathered at the pitch as they waited for Oliver who was inspecting the pitch, and as usual muttering to himself. "If he mumbles to himself any more I'm going to start thinking he's insane." Fred laughed from behind them. The sound of the rest of the school making their way to the pitch caused Oliver to stop pacing.
"Changing rooms!" He yelled as he marched past them. The team gathered their equipment in silence, all knowing how difficult it was going to be. "Okay! It's my last chance to win the cup. We've come close before but this time I know we can do it. You have been the best team and I can't thank you enough for letting me be your captain. Let's go out there and play the best we can and beat them!"
"Thanks Dumbledore."
Oliver spun around, pointing at Cassie. "I will push you off your broom."
"Okay, guess you only want two chasers in the game." She shrugged.
