Ron and Cassie laid sleeping in the hospital wing as Harry was checked over by Madame Pomfrey. Hermione sat next to Cassie, scanning over her injuries, occasionally glancing at Ron.

Her eyes fluttered opened to the bright lights of the hospital wing. She let out a groan as she sat up, feeling bandages covering her leg and shoulder. Hermione jumped up from her seat offering her water and more blankets.

"Thanks Mione." Her smile dropped as she looked over to Ron. "Is he okay? How's his leg?"

"Bloody painful."

"Ron!" She jumped from her bed, ignoring the pain that spread through her body, running to his side.

"Hey Cassie." He smiled, moving over in his bed to make space for her. She curled up in the space, resting her head on him.

"Cass" Hermione spoke softly as she joined the two. "They've captured Sirius. Any minute the Dementors are going to perform the kiss."

"They're going to kill him?" Harry questioned as he joined them.

"They're going to suck out his soul." Cassie muttered. The doors to the hospital banged open as Dumbledore walked in.

"Headmaster! You've got to stop them! They've got the wrong man." Hermione shouted, standing so quickly her chair fell backwards.

"It's true. Sirius is innocent." Harry added in.

"It's Scabbers who did it." Ron said as he shifted in his bed.

"Scabbers?" Dumbledore questioned.

"He's my rat. Well he's not really a rat. He was a rat. He was my brother Percy's rat but then they gave him an owl-"

"The point is, we know the truth, please believe us." Hermione interrupted his rambling.

"I do, Miss Granger. But I'm sorry to say the words of three thirteen year old wizards and the words of Sirius Black's daughter will convince few others." He walked over to where Cassie and Ron were, hitting his leg as he spoke. "A child's voice, however honest and true, is meaningless to those who have forgotten how to listen." Cassie covered her mouth to stop her laugh as Ron let out a yelp.

"Mysterious thing, time. Powerful. And when meddled with, dangerous." He paused as the bell chimed. "Sirius Black is in the topmost cell of the Dark Tower." Turning to Hermione. "You know the laws Miss Granger. You must not be seen. And you would, I feel, do well to return before this last chime. If not...well, the consequences are really too ghastly to discuss. Three turns should do it, I think. If you succeed, more than one innocent life may be spared tonight."

"By the way, when in doubt, I find retracting my steps to be a wise place to begin...Good luck." With that he left the hospital wing.

"What the bloody hell was that all about."
