Roxas returned with the others to where he left Sora to handle the rogue Brexme. Everyone besides Yen Sid had arrived, rushing to the scene Roxas urged them to see. To their dismay however the only one they saw was Sora knelt down with his back to them. Even their approaching footsteps didn't get him to turn around even with the group of them arriving. Sora's sobs were silent, but the sign of his chest and back falling showed his true emotion without fail.
"Sora... What happened?" Roxas knelt to one knee and placed a reassuring hand on his friends shoulder.
Sora barely acknowledged the touch. "Xemnas took her... Again."
There were murmurs of disappointment that chorused among the group, all eyes taking a peak of the area and instantly noticing the fallen building not to far away in front of them.
"Did you get hurt?!" Ventus was flustered when he noticed the rubble, desperation in his voice as he gaped at Sora.
The Keyblade Wielder took a deep breath, shaking off the comforting hand on his shoulder and forcing himself to his feet. He quickly wiped away the tears from his eyes as he turned to face the group. "I'm good." He could barely force his normal enthusiastic smile, even for a moment.
Riku approached his friend with a smile to share, replacing Roxas's comforting hand with his own. "We'll find her again Sora. We always do." His eyes wandered to the piled rubble before noticing the glove on the ground. With a curious eyebrow he approached it and knelt down. "What's this?"
Sora gasped. "Riku don't touch it!"
To Riku's surprise Sora lunged for his friend and wrapped his arms around his chest, dragging Riku backwards away from the glove. Riku was taken by surprise, both men tumbling to the ground on top of one another. Riku was angry at first, but immediately gentled when he got a glimpse of the desperation on Sora's face.
"Emi's Nobody... Brexme..." Sora pushed himself into a sitting position where his legs were sprawled out in front of him and his hands limp in his lap. "I don't understand her powers but she can uh... Crack things."
All eyes turned to the single glove, fractured but unbroken.
"You think if we touch something that she has we could crack like that?" Axel turned a curious eye to Sora.
Sora shook his head, pushing himself to his feet as Riku copied his actions. "I dunno. I dunno anything about it. I'm sure it was her who cracked the building, and I saw her crack Xemnas's glove. Just don't risk touching her."
Riku frowned, crossing his arms with disbelief as his eyes stared at the glove. "We need to regroup elsewhere and talk about this."
Axel winked, snapping a finger with a finger gun to gather attention. "Yen Sid stopped by and told us where we'll be headed, since I've been there before. It'll be our new hiding spot so everyone gather round and let's go!"
His sudden perkiness had some unwanted displeasure, but none the less the group followed Axel inside his portal to the new world he spoke of. When exiting from the other side, no one knew what world they found themselves into. However Ventus felt a wave of deja vu, suddenly feeling light headed when staring at the crooked building in front of him. Yen Sid was waiting at the bottom of a grand staircase with three new people waiting behind him. Ventus was urged to press on.
"I see you have not retrieved Emberlynn." Yen Sid commented as the boys approached, yet all eyes wandered to the scene around him.
Sora spoke for the group. "Xemnas got his hands on her again." He admitted shamefully.
Yen Sid tilted his head downwards, closing his eyes as he heard the news. With a grave sigh he continued. "We will retrieve her in due time. For now, this is where you will be staying. Welcome to the Land of Departure, a world where young Keyblade Weilders come to train to become Masters."
