Xehanort finished his torture as much time passed, storming away empty handed. Ember was successful when she refused to give any information, everything she knew was safe with her. However, Ember herself was the opposite. She was torn to shreds, injuries and blood littering her body and staining her snow white hair, dyeing it crimson red. With the pain she endured Ember ultimately was rendered unconscious, her head hanging due to her limp body and her blood dripping to the floor. An eerie silence fell over the dungeon hall, the only sound echoing being the drips of crimson red.

Ventus and Vanitas were silent, their throats burning and dry from their boisterous vocal protests. The one time they were every which way alike was having to endure simply watching everything happen without intervening. Eyes swollen, cheeks red, throats burning and bodies shaking... Their mannerisms at that point were exactly the same. Regret and guilt was the only thing on their mind as they almost couldn't tear their eyes from her. Their eyes were quivering with horror at what they were forced to witness, inevitably drying their eyes out as they couldn't bring themselves to turn away.

Vanitas gathered every ounce of energy he has left to keep his cool, knowing if he allowed his emotions to over power him the anti -magic mechanisms within the restraints would activate... Just like it did at the beginning of Xehanort's rage. He clenched his teeth, eyes narrowing to Ember as the scene replayed in his head over and over again.

"They'll be here soon. I'm sure of it." Ventus leaned forward slightly to speak to his other, but even Ventus wasn't sure if he was reassuring Vanitas or himself.

"They have to be here soon." Vanitas spoke softly, his voice cracking. "Emberlynn will bleed out otherwise."

Ventus gulped down a large lump in his throat, his eyes gazing on her. The anxiety and uncertainty of how the situation would turn out caused a throbbing pain in his chest. Ember's blood dripping began to pool to the floor, especially the slits Xehanort caused on her wrists. Ventus grimaced and the men fell silent, unsure of what else to say or do.

There was nothing they could do.

Time continued to pass, neither of the men sure of how long. Ventus felt himself nodding off, his head bobbing as he attempted to stay awake. His eyes fluttered opened and closed as he fought of sleep, but were forced wide awake when he heard rapid footsteps approaching. Ventus shook his head and his attention was gathered to the source of the sound. Two figures rounded the corner of the metal hallway, their steps pounding against the ground. As soon as Ventus recognized them he lifted his head eagerly and struggled against the restraints.

"Riku! Sora!" He exclaimed.

"Forget about us! Emberlynn needs help or she'll die!" Vanitas cried out.

With heavy breaths Sora skidded to a halt and whipped his back to the others, Keyblade is a defensive position. Sora didn't even greet the hostages as his eyes were fixated on something else.

Riku listened to Vanitas's words, his attention directly to Ember. He used his Keyblade to draw back and slam the blade against the metal restraints with all his might and avoided using any sort of magic. The metal casing cracked, leaving Riku to finish off the rest. Ember's limp body fell forward from her body weight and Riku ensured to catch her before she hit the floor. As gently as possible Riku guided her to a corner to prop her up against, using the walls to hold her up as he rummaged through his pocket for a potion.

"Riku?" Sora stifled as he took a step back, his eyes fixated on the target.

Vanitas and Ventus winced as a blaring roar was heard from down the hall. Riku dumped the contents of the potion down Ember's throat before his attention was turned to the other hostages. He began to hack away at their restraints as well.
