The group had came into agreement on a plan hours later after Sora, Riku, and Ventus had rested for that long period of time. All attended the training room where Eraqus was seated in his chair, Yen Sid standing not far behind. To ensure safety they had agreed to travel in groups just as before when searching for Ember in the Realms Between; Sora and Roxas, Axel and Riku, and Ventus and Vanitas. Each person was paired with someone who could create a corridor of darkness as a failsafe in case something went wrong and they had to quickly retreat.
Both Axel and Roxas confirmed she was likely in a holding cell, the only thing keeping Brexme from causing havoc in the Organizations stronghold. The cells were the only thing known to contain magic users, their origin unknown. Once the traitors had shared their knowledge of the castle and the layout, the plan was to be put into motion; a plan everyone had eagerly awaited.
They needed to not only reach Brexme, but slip in and free her too. Her freedom would be short lived however, as she would have to be cut down quickly so they could begin the heart retrieval process. Only one of them could be sent to recover her heart; the one closest to her.
The group knew the individual who was to retrieve Ember's heart, someone with a connection to her. Deep down, everyone knew who had that connection.
In order to keep the plan going, only one group could be sent directly to Brexme while the others distracted the Organization.
---------Sora and Roxas
With the likelihood of guards in the vicinity, Roxas teleported the two just around the corner before the entrance to the platform overlooking the cages. With their backs pressed against the wall, Sora peeked around the edge to scout what they were going up against.
Several low tier Nobodies guarded lookout, all swaying and dancing with their unusual body movement. Sora pressed his lips together nervously, retreating back and turning to Roxas.
"They have nobodies as guards, but no sign of Organization activity." He reported.
Roxas gave him a curt nod. "Then we can rush em. I can make a portal inside the cage and as long as it doesn't close I can get Brexme out."
"So let's deal with them, and then I'll keep guard while you grab her." Sora agreed. "Just remember don't let her touch you in case-"
"In case she activates her powers yeah." Roxas said wearily. "Let's just hurry in case the others are having a rough time."
Sora took his words literally, rushing in with Keyblade in hand and determination in his heart. Both boys corresponded together, ensuring the Nobodies were fixated on them during battle.
Brexme heard the commotion outside of her cell, quickly gathering her attention to the bars to watch the fight. To her surprise she recognized them from the town she woke up in, watching them fight diligently. Sora had taken a rough blow that sent him skidding across the floor, yet Roxas swooped in and defeated the dusk in one slash before it had a chance to attack Sora again. Brexme blinked with surprise at their harmony as Roxas grabbed Sora's hand and swung him around, allowing Sora to spin and rid of oncoming Nobodies.
Brexme never felt anything like it since she woke up in that strange town; her chest ached as she intently watched the battle before her. Was she... Nervous? Scared? They were risking their lives for her, people she barely knew. They were showing such kindness and bravery for someone they were unfamiliar with...
"Maybe they do know me." Brexme whispered under her breath. "Maybe they told the truth."
The twinge in her chest still existing, she suddenly felt this sudden urge. An urge to encourage them, the urge to call and reach out to them as they fought for their lives. Brexme took a deep breath, cupping her hands around her mouth and leaned towards the bars.
