Ember found herself falling into an endless abyss. She could have been falling down, up sideways... The darkness swallowing her was incessant. Her back arched uncomfortably as her arms floated above her, causing air bubbles as if disrupting a peaceful ocean. Ember wanted to open her mouth to speak but only the appearance of bubbles replaced her words.

The obscurity was eerily silent as even when the bubbles formed it was silent. Ember waved an arm in an attempt to create some kind of noise, but the sound she heard was certainly not related to her own movement. A loud groan was heard that echoed within her space, a groan sounding like a structure was shifting. Ember flinched when all the sudden the blackness was filled with cracks, so many it outlined the entire space of what seemed like a dome. Her eyes widened with fear at her predicament and she forced her descending body to turn over to get a glimpse of what was below.

Something large was lurking in the shadows, it's features only defined by the small amount of light filling the cracks. Ember screamed out in dismay as she realized a wide ranging mouth was gaping opened and ready to swallow her whole.

Ember woke up with a jump, her body propelling forward as she sat up in her bed. She found herself sweating and heart racing, but a glimpse of her reality gave her relief. Ember was simply in bed and she had a simple nightmare.

No big deal.

Ember forced a deep breath to relieve her pounding heart. It had started to slow down until she saw the door thrown opened with a duo of friends inviting themselves inside. Ember could only shoot them a sour look with displeased hands on her hips.

"Did you ever learn to knock?" She huffed.

She recognized Sora and Ventus gazing at her through the darkness, the moonlight pouring from her window glistening off their eyes. Ember's eyebrows furrowed with confusion as she noticed their shadows seemed to be looking around her room as if they saw something she didn't.

"What is it?" She asked.

"You don't see anything?" Ventus was curious, stepping towards the door and flicking on the light.

Ember's breath caught in her throat as the light revealed the horror in her room. Just like her dream the entirety of the room was covered in cracks; the walls were splitting, the desk in her room had fallen apart, and even her bed was shattering. She looked down at her sitting position and noticed she was the center of it all. All the cracks formed a circle around her almost like a barrier.

Sora and Ventus came closer to her and ignored how the floor crunched with each step. Ember was dumbfounded, surprised that they weren't running away or at least keeping their distance. The destruction before her was shocking, looking exactly how the boys described when talking about Brexme.

Ventus gently scooped Ember's hand into his. His face grew gentle as his lips softly curved into a smile. "I guess you did inherit Brexme's powers."

Ember looked down to her hands. "I was excited to get any kind of power before but now I'm seeing it and it's... Kinda scary."

"We could... Practice?" Sora suggested with a wink and hands on his hips. "I have an idea as to where in case Emi ya know... Explodes or something."

"Explodes?!" Ember pouted.

"Explodes... Objects." Ventus suggested sheepishly. "Cracking objects? Accidently destroying something?" He thoughtfully placed a finger on his chin, swaying back and forth as he was slowly losing himself to his thoughts.

Ember let out a breath. "Okay I get it. If something goes out of control it's best not to be around anything important. Sora where should we go?"

Sora suddenly frowned, his positive affirmation decreasing when he replied. "Well it's probably not a great place to be but if you destroy parts of it no one will mind."
