As the bloodbath drew out to its end, we checked our supplies. Caspian managed to get ahold of a bow and arrow, a sword and multiple smaller daggers. We opened the first of the three bags I secured, I let out a sigh of relief when I found myself 3 full water bottles and 2 rolls of bandages. I looked at the other two bags which supplies us with one more bottle, a torch, a lighter and 5 bread rolls. All in all it could've been worse but we had been lucky to survive the bloodbath.
Residing on the top of the arena, we had the advantage of spotting tributes early on, however one disadvantage was they tributes could see us just as easily as we could see them.
Screechhhhh
A deafening sound rung out through the arena, a blinding light followed. I could hear Caspian's yells alongside the screech. However as the sound subdued and the light returned back to normal, I had realised the arena had changed. We were now in a forest, surrounded by vegetation and rocky slopes. Tall trees formed a compound above our heads. But the colour of the sky, a mixture of purple and orange hues washed out the greenery.
"How-" My voice cut off, a canon boomed in the distance. Cass climbed a tree, attempting to source the location of the dead tribute.
"Come up here," Caspian told me, his face looking somber. I climbed the tree looking into the distance and vastness of greenery, that's when I spotted the body. It was the girl from 4, she was impaled by a long twisting tree, her body was limp and lifeless. I felt myself losing grip on the tree as Cass caught me.
"They're repeating the games from the previous years," I said stupidly.
"No shit," He murmured. "It's the 25th Games. Do you remember what the key event was?" He asked me, "You always remember everything,"
"Dinosaurs," but just as I said that a Tetradactyl flew over my head, we ran through the forest, taking what little we had with us.
I let out a sharp gasp as I had bumped into a girl. She looked frantic darting her eyes from Cass to me. I recognised her as the girl from 12.
"Do you want to be ally's?" I asked, taking pity on the girl, she had to be at least 13. She nodded a timid yes.
"Steph, you know that there can only be 2 of us," Cass said.
"And if there was supposed to be 1 victor would you leave me?" I asked.
As he was about to reply a loud inhumane shriek sounded only a couple trees away from us. We began sprinting in the opposite direction, seeking  refuge in a cave. I pulled out a torch from our supplies and found nothing of threat to be hiding there, maybe some mice which we could use for dinner.
The sun was setting down and we had seemingly found shelter.

That night the Capitol theme song could be heard, the three of us stuck our heads out the cave. They were showing who had died. Tonight it was the girls from 8, 9, 7and 3 and the boys from 7,4 and 3. Only 17 of us remained.
As the projection of the images in the sky died down, I turned to the girl behind me, who was intently chewing on her rat bone, sandwiched between half a bread roll.
"So what's your name?"
"Gia, Gia Hawthorne,"
