Hands were holded up at such an angle so that her one eye was looking through the rectangle finger frame like a director, taking in the two figures whose faces were just a millimeter away and whose eyes looked like they had stopped working because they stared at the other person without even blinking once.
"Hmm," Camila frowned thinking about the scene.
The hard working, late-coming, uncoordinated girl and the perfect punctual, smart, model student of the uni together. She considered in her mind watching the two of them very closely.
"Perfect!" She exclaimed suddenly as she finally placed the pieces together.
They turned their heads to her as they realized there was someone standing there other than themselves.
Max stumbled backwards and covered his face, all flustered and Sarah had only one thought in her mind.
She's going to misunderstand this situation just like Mrs Jones, isn't she? Oh god, no. She prayed that what she's thinking is not true.
"Uh hey Camila. What's up?" Sarah asked casually, trying to cover the awkwardness and act like everything was just normal.
"Oh did I interrupt at a very bad timing?"
Stab
The arrow containing her words struck Sarah's back dramatically as her prayings fell unheard to the ground.
"Camila," she said, trying to hold back tears, "We weren't doing anything."
"Yeah right," Camila said and took a chair out. Plopping on it and swiveling it around towards both of them, she said, "Well, it's all great and such but first let me tell you what I have in my mind." She clapped her hands with full energy. "I was thinking about giving you the work related to decorations, since you're a good one at paintings," she told Sarah.
She's good at painting? Max thought looking at Sarah. I didn't know that.
Meanwhile Sarah was sighing with her hand on her chest, relieved that Camila said she was just thinking and that means she's not going to give her the painting work. Last year's memories of her wrecked up condition while doing paintings for her was still fresh in her mind. She better not make me do that again.
"But now we'll have you two publicize the upcoming event which the student council planned."
Her words came as a complete shock to her.
"Of course, you don't have to do it alone, I've already put many people on it, but, if you two handle the management, circulate the instructions etc., we'll get more students attracted to the event."
"What...What do you mean? Why us?" Sarah asked, confused what she's trying to say.
Camila looked at her as though she had asked from which direction does the sun rises every morning.
"Obviously because if two people who are secretly dating, one a top student, who hadn't dated anyone before, and second a very diligent girl, who nobody had even heard of, come out together to interact with the students, the student body is most likely to get stimulated and they'll interact with us with more enthusiasm."
The language which she was speaking in was not getting processed by her brain as the words bounced back before even entering her head.
Wait- her ears caught on one word among the indecipherable language. "Secretly dating?"
"Yeah, aren't you two dating secretly without telling anybody else? I thought it was a good idea to take help from you two," Camila shrugged.
"But we aren't dating!" Sarah protested against her in a very high-pitched voice.
