She turned around slowly and her eyes widened themselves when she found him standing way too close to herself. She tried to slip out from between him and the door from the side where he didn't had his hand but he slammed his hand on the other side too making her flinch slightly.

"You didn't answer my question," he frowned.

"What?" She asked, "What do you mean?"

"You avoided my calls because you were with him yesterday, weren't you?" His features were changing because of the anger building up slowly.

"That's ridiculous," she denied his claims in one go and said, "I didn't avoid you because of him."

She tried to maintain eye contact with him to prove herself but was having a hard time for multiple reasons⎯ First, his expressions weren't all smiley and friendly like he always showed to her; now he had a deep frown plastered on his face which said 'don't mess with me or you're dead.'

Second and most of all, he was standing very close to her body, and his hand was still on the door behind her, holding it close. She swallowed and tried to stare into his eyes by not letting her own wander anywhere else.

"Then what about the overly friendly laughs and handshakes you were sharing with him earlier today?" He bored his eyes into hers.

"That-that was just because he recommended me a product and it was nice so I was appreciating him," she said, "And the-the handshake-" she tried to not stutter because of the nervousness caused by the heat he directed towards her from his eyes but was failing dismally.

Why am I acting like I've just been caught cheating? She was stupefied with how weird and unusual her personality is getting right now. She would've normally told him off and went away for she had a lot of other important works than just stuttering while explaining everything to him.

"He's messing with your head," the inner Sarah yelled out, "Get away from him."

"The handshake what?" He leaned closer, with his radiant emerald eyes going narrow and staring into hers for answers.

"S-s-stop leaning closer!" She shrieked when his face was just some inches away from hers.

Her breathing was getting shorter and shorter with the seconds she stayed near him. She pushed him away and fumbled with her hands behind her for the handle of the door.

"Wait-"

The door slammed shut in his face with a bang as she broke out of the room and ran away as fast as she could.

What the hell was that? She asked herself, panting while putting her hands on her knees to catch her breath after she had reached a safe distance away from him.

"Probably, the symptoms of you going crazy finally showing up," the mini Sarah, a representative of her inner voice, replied to her question as she appeared in front of her eyes and smiled.

Sarah rolled her eyes and waved her away with her hands.

"Haa...finally...got you."

She jumped turning around only to find him panting too with his hands on his knees.

"Haa haa," he panted after running so much to catch up with her, "Why did you suddenly run like that?"

"I..." she blinked. Did he just run all the way here?

"I don't know," she cried and turned to run away again but her legs intertwined themselves which made her topple over by losing her balance and she was about to embarrass herself by smashing her nose on the floor but he grabbed her by the back side of the collar of her shirt and pulled her back on her feets.
