Chapter 24: A forgotten promise

Since Lisa and Jungkook has already agreed with the terms, Lisa finally resigned from the cafe she was previously working at.

And the money, which was given by Jungkook in-advance for the month, She has used that money to pay off her monthly fee at her judo classes.

But even after paying her monthly fee and buying a pair of shoes by that money, There was still a little cash left in her hand.

And for that very reason, When she attended her classes in Monday, Her mood was bright and very good. She even greeted Jungkook as soon she saw him infront of the main gate of the school.

"Good morning, Kookie!!" She hurried towards him like a baby, almost giving heart attack to Jungkook by such a drastic change in her behaviour.

KOOKIE?

Jungkook was baffled as soon he heard that word and choked on his banana milk that he was currently drinking.

*Cough* *cough*

What was that for?!

But of course, He couldn't possibly show his disgusted face to anyone around him so trying his best, He forced a smile and held her hands as she stood infront of him.

"Let's go" He said aloud and then began to drag her along with him.

And for the other student, Unaware of the inner thoughts of him, All they saw was a cute couple walking together. They cannot help but to watch in envy.

Of course, That was far from the truth.

As soon they walked a little far from the crowd, Jungkook whispered yell soon escaped from his lips.

"Did you ate something funny this morning?" Jungkook glanced at the girl beside him, doubtfully "Or did you hit your head somewhere?"

Hearing his nonsense guess, The good mood that she was in instantly worn out and Lisa rolled her eyes.

"Aren't you the one who said I've to act lovey dovey to you infront of others?" She said and pulled away her hand from his grip "I was just being nice to you but since you didn't like it, I'll get going"

"Wait-"

"Bye-bye!" Before Jungkook could stop her, Lisa waved her hands and strode away like a ninja. And within a second, She disappeared among the students.

Didn't just moment ago, She was acting lovey dovey to him?

"Tsk, I've really choosen an odd girl to deal with" He muttered to himself and shook his head.

At the other side, Lisa has already reached at her desk and took her seat. Since Arin was absent today because of fever, Lisa was sitting alone.

But she didn't mind at all. She happily took out her phone and opened her kakaotalk.

"Get well soon, Arin-ah! Hwaiting!" She typed and send to her best friend. She was even planning to visit her today and bring some fruits with her with Jungkook's money.

With nothing to do, She began to checked her dms. The past couple of months, She was really busy with all kind of things and "ahem" drama, So she didn't have time to check her kakaotalk.

Thus, finding the correct time, She began to scroll though messages after messages.

There were many unread messages from her judo academy. It was mostly some of the trainee from there asking her about the timing of the lesson.

There were also some messages from her dad, asking her to come home early. But since it was send a month ago, She didn't bother to reply.

As she was almost done playing with her phone and felt that she should probably solve some maths questions for the final examination, She sighed and was about to turn off her phone.

Until her eyes stopped at the 'certain' message she had received a month ago.

And it was from none other than euntae.

Yes, Her ex-best friend.

"I waited for you but you never came. Seems like you were busy. If you see this message, Please send me a reply and tell me whenever you're free. We can re-arrange our meeting" - Euntae

Reading his message, A surprise look crossed her face as she suddenly remembered about the meeting she had made up with euntae.

Forget about the meeting, She even forgot about the decision she was supposed to take about their friendship.

She was supposed to make a decision if she want to continue with this friendship or not!

How could she forgot about such an important thing!??

While Lisa was cursing at herself, At the other classroom, Jungkook was being surrounded by his friends.

Hinata, Jaehyun and minhyuk.

Hinata was frowning so badly that if he stayed like that for a little bit longer, A permanent crease will remained between his brows.

"Are you kidding me? Are you really dating that girl?" He asked, looking at relaxed Jungkook "How come you've decided to cheat on nara and suddenly began to date a girl whom you met a month ago?"

But he received no answer from Jungkook. He just ignored his question as well as him and was scrolling through his Instagram.

Definitely noticing that he was being ignored, Hinata glanced at Jaehyun and Jaehyun sighed.

"Jungkook, We don't know what's going between you and nara but how could you just dumped her and go date around some random chic?"

Minhyuk also joined in, agreeing to Jaehyun's statement "He is right. Even if you had a fight with nara and wanted to take revenge or something, Dumping her and dating another is not a good decision"

"That's what I'm also saying!" Hinata nodded his head in agreement.

"You guys don't need to worry about my dating life" Jungkook finally replied but his mood became slightly colder than usual.

Originally, He thought he can just ignore them and pretend like he cannot hear them, but longer he listened to his friend's misconceptions and their 'Nara is an innocent angel' (Which she was clearly not), Jungkook couldn't help but to feel angry.

"Nara and I are no longer dating" He said, glancing at his friends beside him "And I would appreciate if you kindly stop mentioning nara and also call Lisa by her name. She is not just some random girl. She has a name so call her by her name"

"But-" Hinata opened his mouth to retort but Jungkook waved his hand.

"I no longer like nara that's why I dumped her. Now no need to mention her name infront of me" He said firmly.

Jungkook have enough of their bullshit. Are they HIS friends or nara's?

"And if you're disgusted by me for dumping her then you're welcome to go and make friends with her" He added, standing up from his seat. No longer wanting to even attend classes today.

He grabbed his bag and walked out from the classroom.

Watching his disappearing back, Hinata was the one who sighed first.

"I don't know why but I think he is really hiding something from us" He muttered and minhyuk agreed.

"I think so too"

Listening to their guesses, Jaehyun just shook his head.

"I just hope that he doesn't get serious with Lisa. Who knows what type of girl she is"

And with that statement, Three of them agreed.
