"Where have you been yesterday?" Arin inquired as soon I showed up at school and I blatantly lied.

"Umm...I was doing my extra shift at work"

She frowned "And you cannot able to pick up my calls?"

"We had to submit our phones" I lied again.

"And what excuse did you gave your parents?"

"I lied that I was at your house" I said the first truth of the day and she gave me a scornful look.

"You are selling me off in your lies" She complained while I shrugged, giving her my most sweetest smile.

"That's why you're my best friend" I said and of course, earning a not so pleasant curse from her in response.

But I was not complaining because at least she was done with her interrogation and decided to let me off easily this time.

Our classes went by normally like it used to and when the last bell rang, We hurriedly left the school to attend our judo classes.

Since I did not have any shift today, I felt quite relaxed when I stepped inside the practice room.

"Finally a worthy day" I smiled to myself.

Today we were told by our coach to choose our opponent ourselves which was rare so I and Arin end up choosing each other.

And no, It was not because we are best friends. But it was more because we are both competitive.

It was not easy to fight with Arin because our game tactics were kind of similar and we both end up tiring ourselves to the point that we cannot even breathe properly.

That's how we are competitive. And of course, It was fun too.

Finally when we finished our practice, It was already late at evening. We were packing our things after changing our clothes when Lia approached us.

Her familiar voice interrupted our little talks "Are you guys already going?" She asked and our gazes landed at her.

"Yes?" Arin answered first and she smiled at us.

Strange.

I mean it's not we were friends. It was not even like we hate each other, It was just we don't like her. Our vibes are way too different and we mind our own business. So it is very rare for her to come up to us and speak.

Unless she wants something from-

"Lisa! I saw you yesterday" She spoke aloud and my heart stopped for a moment because I knew what she was going to say next. She smiled "I saw you with Jungkook"

Good.

Here goes my secret.

"With Jungkook?" Arin's voice came from beside me and Lia nodded.

"Yes. I saw them" She said, unaware of Arin's dangerous stare at me, She continued "So I was wondering if you two are friends?"

"Umm..." I muttered and my gaze landed at Arin.

"Are you?" She raised her brows and asked. Waiting to devour me whole.

I gulped and gazed at stupid Lia.

"We..umm...we just met coincidentally" I lied and forced a smile "I was at the cafe...umm..and coincidentally he was...also there. since we've..umm talked before so he approached me and we..ummm just talked a little"

"Really?" Lia exclaimed, her eyes beaming "I did not know you two are close!"

"Um..I'm not close with him!" I denied but she was persistent in her statement.

"You have to be close!" She said "if not then why would've he talk to you? It's not like he talk to everyone!"

"But-"

"You both must be good friends since he approached you, right?" Lia beamed excitedly "You are so lucky,Lisa! I did not know that you are his friend!"

I'm not lucky Lia. I'm extremely unlucky and I'm doomed now.

"Let's talk, Lisa" Arin's chilling voice came and I shivered

Jungkook's POV:

It was late at evening when I entered in a nearby cafe with hinata.

"I heard that they are giving free doughnuts" Hinata said as we grabbed a table and sat across each other.

"I don't like doughnuts" I muttered in response while hinata shrugged.

"it's okay for me" He said "I can have two doughnuts then"

I ignored him.

And as soon I stopped talking to hinata, My mind once again went back to yesterday's incident. I pursed my lips when Lisa's words flowed back in my head.

"Try to move on and accept what is meant to be" That's what she said and for some reason, This words remained inside me.

Yesterday, When I dropped her home, She advised me to stay aware of my surrounding and not to always relay on my emotions.

Even though I hate to admit it.... but she was right.

However I think I've been spending time with her too much. It's not like it was my intention to spend time with her but the weird circumstances always put us togethe-

The loud vibration of my phone broke me out from my thoughts and my eyes landed on my phone.

It was Lisa.

Why is she calling me out of blue?

I frowned as I stared at the screen before finally accepting the call.

"Hello?"

As soon I spoke, a familiar voice rang in my ear from the other line.

"Jungkook! We need to meet! Can we meet?"

What?

I was ready for so many questions but never in my hundred guesses, I would've guessed this particular question.

She was indeed unpredictable.

What on the earth she want from me?

"Umm...But why?"

However instead of answering my question, She snapped. This time her voice became loud.

"We are doomed so we need to act out quickly! meet me right now at horai cafe!"  She said and without explaining nor waiting for my reply, She hanged up the call.

This girl-

"What happened?" Hinata's confused voice interrupted this time and I decided to lie to him.

"Umm...I need to go back home" I said as i stood up from my seat "It's urgent so I'll meet you tomorrow at school"

"But-" Hinata opened his mouth to say something but I left him before he could mutter any words out.

Just like she asked me for, I finally rode my bike to horai cafe and as soon I entered the cafe, I saw Lisa at the last table.

"What happened?" I asked, approaching her and her nervous eyes landed at me.

No...It is going to be something ba-

"One of the girl saw us yesterday and spread the rumour that we are dating!"

Oh.

Wait-

WHAT??!!
