Arin came to Lisa's house for a girl's night and also for the study session. So after eating their dinner, both of them sat to study.
"I'm gonna sleep now" Lisa yawned after two hours of focusing and closed her book. She leaned back on her chair and streched her arms "If i don't sleep now, I will probably miss some classes tomorrow"
Hearing her statement, Arin nodded from the bed "Yeah you're right" She said while closing her book too "We also need some good sleep or else we'll look like a zombie by tomorrow"
Lisa laughed "Zombie? More like a deceased because I won't even get out of bed"
Arin also laughed at her joke "Deceased will be better! Hahahaha!"
However interrupting their moment, Lisa's phone rang from the bedside table. And as arin was nearer to the table, She pick up the phone to check it first.
"Who is it?" Lisa asked, looking up at the wall clock "It's already 9pm"
Checking the name of the dialler, Arin's eyebrows went up in surprise "oh? It's jungkook!"
"What?" Lisa frowned in confusion "jungkook is calling?"
"Yes"
"Here, pass the phone" Lisa leaned forward to take the phone from Arin and Arin passed it to her.
"Why is he calling you this late?" Arin muttered to herself.
"Hello?" Lisa answered the call and as soon she answered, Jungkook's panicked voice came from the other line.
"Hello? Lisa? Where are you?" He asked in a hurry "Are you okay? Are you inside your room or?"
Lisa frowned upon hearing his questions "Of course I'm at my house, inside my bedroom. Are you drunk?"
A sigh can be heard from the other line.
Jungkook seemed relaxed for moment "Good.... that's good" He replied with a deep sigh of relief and Lisa blinked in confusion.
"Why? Did something happened?"
"... Nothing... happened" He replied and there was pause before he speaks again "Uhm...can you come out for a minute? I'm outside your house"
"WHAT?" Lisa's widened in surprise "Are you kidding me?"
"Of course not! Can you come out for a minute?"
"But why are you here in this hour?"
"I'll tell you if you come out"
"Fine" Lisa finally said and stood up from her chair.
Signalling that she will tell arin once she is back, She rushed to downstairs and walked out from the house. And as she was told, Jungkook was really outside her house.
As soon she saw him, She cut the call and hurried to him.
"Why are you here? What happened?" She asked, both worried and confused while jungkook just stood there and looked at her with an unreadable expression on his face.
When she saw that he was not saying anything, She asked again "Did something happened? Why are you-"
However before she could complete her sentence, her face was held against his warm chest. And instantly, Her sensitive nose was intertwined by his misty scent.
She blinked in surprise and tried to stepped back but his strong arms caged her and held her even closer.
"Please...let me just hold you for a minute. Just for a minute, i promise" Jungkook's quiet voice rang beside her ear and her heart skipped a bit.
"Jungkook..."
"Please"
Hearing his plead, finally Lisa surrendered and let him hold her. And as she did, Jungkook sighed in relief.
Standing there, under the streetlight, intoxicated by his warmness and Misty scent, Lisa's mind was restless. She didn't know what it was....but she was feeling something inside her heart that she can't put her fingers at.
Her heartbeat was beating so fast that she even began to fear that he could be able to hear it too.
It would be so embarassing if he heard it.
The silence between them was peaceful and appropriate. No words yet so much peace.
But as promised, Jungkook finally stepped back from the hug and released her. And suddenly by the lack of warmness and his scent, Lisa felt a little disappointed.
She blinked back to reality and stepped back too.
Yet the disappointment remained in her heart for some reason.
"I'm sorry" Jungkook sighed, running his hand through his hair in frustration "I came without any notice. I was in a hurry"
Hearing his apology, Lisa pursed her lips "It's alright. But will you tell me what exactly happened?"
"Nara happened" Jungkook replied this time and Lisa looked at him in confusion.
"What?"
Jungkook sighed "Yes. Seems like nara saw us together today and got angry. So she decided to visit my house to win me back" He told her, his expression clearly telling that he didn't like even a bit about the situation "But when I told her off, She got angry again and blackmailed me that she will end you. That's why I came running to you. I was...scared"
Silence.
Lisa didn't know what to say or how to react to his last line.
He was scared for her?
She gulped and looked at him "But...but why would you think that I'll not be okay?" She asked, crossing her arms. A way to hold herself so that she can control her feelings right at the moment.
"This is nara we're talking about, Lisa!" Jungkook stared at her in anxiousness "You don't know her. She can do anything to get back at you! I'm worried about you!"
Listening to his genuine concern and the last sentence, Lisa was touched.
Despite the messy situation, She cannot help but to feel happy that Jungkook was actually worried for HER. Not nara.
HER.
"I understand your concern but... don't worry" She finally consoled him "I...I will be careful. If I ever get a hold of her, I'll smack the shit out of her"
Jungkook opened his mouth to say something else but Lisa cut him off.
"I told you, Don't worry Jungkook" Lisa said, giving him a firm nod "I'll take care of myself"
And with that saying, Lisa thought the conversation was over, until Jungkook stared at her and mutter quietly yet clearly.
"But...I want to take care of you"
Lisa: "..."
"It's getting late, I'm going back home okay? Goodnight and see you tomorrow" He pat her head and finally walked away like he didn't just say something so romantic to her.
At first, Lisa walked back to her room blankly, too shocked of what happened but when she finally sat on her bed and arin asked her what was going on, She burst out.
"Aaaaaaaaaahhhhhhh!!!!!!!! Jungkook just said he wants to take care of me!!!!! Aaaahhhh!!!!"
