Xavianna gets a call from Mia after everything was finished and she sends Brian and his batch of kids back home paying for their first class plane tickets the day after Brian and co leave she gets a visitor for Jakob somehow found out where she lives he got to meet her kids personally and they instantly start calling him "Uncle Jake" Jakob apologized right away for every ounce of pain he caused the woman he loves back when he was a teenager he informed her that he regretted breaking up with her and every word he spoke was spoken in front of Deckard who seemed awfully calm Jakob figured he'd want to beat the shit out of him but the man was actually smiling in their direction "oh he's been in your place before for he did something similar"  Xavi tells Jakob who replies with a raised eyebrow "really!?!"  she nods with a smile then says "all the idiots I dated did and I married this one!"  Deckard replies "hey!"  Jakob chuckles "the only one who truly screwed up is your brother for unlike the rest of you he didn't have a "proper" excuse"  she says "what did he do!?!"  Jakob asks "had a baby with Leticia while I was off visiting family for a week"  she replies Jakob looks at her with a surprised expression on his face "well you Toretto's never liked being lonely and she seemed to come around when I was off doing what he refused to do rebuilding your family home, visiting those who became our family though the only way she would know I was gone is if he called her so what happened was his fault and his alone no one else dialed her number, no one else asked her to fly to where we lived no one but him and he still expects me to come running back into his arms the worst part is I never knew she even came around until I was "told" about the baby and by told I mean shown the doctors report"  she says Jakob looks at her sadly "none of that now Aco I got my "revenge" one I went to his wedding in "inappropriate" attire and turned his wedding reception into a race which everyone but Letica got to join, two I married this one, three I had his kids in other words I have proven without a doubt I can be happy without Dominic and as I told you this is the happiest I have been in a very long time the best part is I finally have my freedom, I finally found out who I truly am for I don't have to make any more sacrifices just so Ace can be happy too as a matter of fact Ace is the one making the sacrifices so that I don't have to"  she tells him he smiles his smile becomes a frown when she says "I made far too many sacrifices for your brother"  his frown becomes a smile once more when she says "luckily I'm strong enough not to let what I lost break me and as I said before I got it all back.... with a different man but still I finally have something that is mine that no one else can take from me without suffering horrendously for it!"  she feels Deckard wrap his arms around her waist as she speaks and she leans into his embrace and much to his surprise the sight makes Jakob smile "I think the thing that hurt your brother the most was that for the longest time I refused to marry him and or have his child the reason for that though was because he "had feelings for" two different women at the same time and wouldn't choose between the two the sad thing is he screwed up around the time that I was willing to give him what he wanted which made him lose it once again this time for good for you know me well enough to know that I will never forgive your brother for what he's done to me especially that!"  she says Jakob nods with a smile for that is indeed true it's quite possible that Dom has not only lost her love but her trust and that is just as bad if not worse for when it comes to those two things.... depending on what the person did to lose them.... they are the hardest things in the world to gain back from her which means he may have also lost her friendship which is something Jakob hopes will never happen to him he hopes that he will always remain a part of her family.... Jakob stayed a few days with Xavi and her family and saw first hand just how happy she truly is which made him happy.... two years later Xavi and her family get invited to a Toretto dinner by Mia but only because her grandma was coming and she knew the woman misses her granddaughters best friend who everyone considered family "I can go by myself"  Xavi tells Deckard when she informs him of the invite "no way!"  he replies she raises her eyebrow at him he scoffs "it isn't for Dom's sake it's for their grandma who I haven't seen in years and like Mia's mom she was more of a grandma to me than my own.... on my mom's side anyway I never really got to know my fathers mother who died when I was 4"  she explains "then I've gotta meet this woman!"  he replies she chuckles then coos "and she's going to adore you!.... most likely more than her own grandson!"  he chuckles he laughs when she says "but not her great-grandson!"  she pauses then says "I'll let you go if you do me a favor"  he replies "anything!"  she says "get me a tablet or something that can't be traced so Abuelita can see and speak with Jakob"  he nods with a smile... a few days later the Shaw family fly to LA and Dom is shocked to see them Leti on the other hand was pissed and they only noticed because Dom's grandmother had brought attention to the new arrivals "nieta!"  Abuelita says happily when she sees Xavi climb out of her family's rental car "abuela"  Xavi says with a smile as she and her family walk over to where the elder woman stands next to a smiling Mia and she introduces her children and husband to "grandma" Xavi and Deckard end up sitting next Mia and Brian (even though they weren't at the barbeque in the movie I'm having Brian and his and Mia's kids there in this story even if they don't play a major part in it after all they are family as well and it's a family gathering) when the food is served "who's saying grace abuela!?"  Xavi asks Abuelita smiles then replies "why don't you say grace this time!?"  Xavi says "well I've never said it out loud before but I'll try or...."  she reaches for her canvas bag which she had placed up against the legs of her chair and says as she opens it "he can say grace for me"  Abuelita stares at the smiling face that is now being displayed on the screen in surprise "we made a pit stop before coming here and though I know I don't make them like you do I made him your ever famous maduros.... using your recipe which I do believe I've thanked you for when you gave it to me ever so long ago and a few other things so he could eat with us even though he couldn't be here with us and don't worry Ace made sure this call is untraceable so he's safe.... wherever he is"  Xavi says Abuelita grins Jake says grace which he hasn't done in a very long time especially in the way he's doing it now.... with familia after he finishes they all start eating Dom was once again shocked and this time it was because Xavi thought of everything though it shouldn't surprise him for that is the type of thoughtful person she is after awhile Mia brings everyone's attention to the eldest at the table who wanted to say something to everyone after she caught up with the two people she has missed the most for she sees them less than everyone else "as I look out at this wonderful family, I am filled with so much pride the kind of pride that my son-- your father-- would have enjoyed if he were here I know that this road has been very hard and also not fair and yet here you are, despite all of the odds, building this magnificent legacy"  Abuelita says as she was speaking Xavi stood up, walked over to where Roman sits and takes away his plate and silverware and Roman watches as his food gets moved away from him with a frown on his face and Xavi nods her head in Abuelita's direction Roman looks at the smiling woman who has not stopped speaking yet and he lowers his head for he now understood why his plate got taken away like he was a misbehaving kid who's getting punished "it is a legacy that will go on for generations no one can take it away not now not ever"  Abuelita says she nods at Xavi as though letting the woman she's considered one of her grandchildren since she first met her as a child that she was just about finished and Xavi places Roman's plate back on the table in front of him then goes back to her seat and sits down on her husbands lap which makes Abuelita and Deckard smile and Dom who was smiling frown "to familia"  Abuelita says raising her glass "familia"  everyone echoes raising their glass as well and they all go back to their conversations as they continue eating and this time Abuelita speaks with Jake who misses her just as much as she misses him....
