She tiptoed through the now dimly-lit corridors

She tiptoed through the now dimly-lit corridors. They became darker as she went further into the servant quarters, a stark contrast from the bright murals and sculptures of the main castle.

The Princess knew her way around. She had explored practically every inch of this castle as a child, boredom causing her to roam aimlessly. She was sure she knew it even better than her Father at this point, as he did not venture round most of these parts.

Her head span with the confused feelings of all the Princes and the most male attention she has ever been permitted to receive.

As she came to the final corner, she peeked around, noticing the two guards as Quill had said, watching over the entrance.

She needed a plan.

How could she cause a distraction without them suspecting her?

She did not want anything else to get back to her Father at this rate. She had yet to face him for her indiscretions this morning.

Loretta leant back against the wall, wracking her mind for an answer. She needed to see her best friend, at least make sure she was well and to come up with a plan if they were not to see each other for a while.

Before she could do anything however, she heard banging far behind her, making her jump slightly.

She pressed herself flat against the wall as she heard the two guards mutter to themselves, armour clinking as they stepped away from their post to check it out.

Loretta could not believe her luck as they run past her, not even noticing her as she held herself still against the stone.

Quickly, she ran to the entrance to the quarters and undid the large bolt, running inside.

Hurriedly, she rushed along, not quite remembering which door she was looking for. Ever since Wanda had become her handmaiden she had stayed in a room near hers in the main wing of the castle, but she had been here once before, when the family had first moved in.

"Wanda! If you can hear me somehow I'm here! Come and find me!" She whispered harshly, the sound echoing off the walls.

She did not know Wanda's extent of her powers, but with their bond she prayed she could somehow sense her down here.

Her pulse quickened at the thought of the guards returning soon, only being temporarily distracted. She would figure out a way to escape after she had seen her.

Suddenly, a door was swinging open to her right and Wanda's face was peering round the edge of it.

"Etta?" She whispered, opening the door wider now, looking around to make sure no one had seen.

The Princess beamed as she ran to her, Wanda allowing her in and shutting the door firmly behind her.

The two embraced as if they had not seen each other in weeks, not twenty four hours.
