Food was the last thing on the Princess' mind when she finally returned to her chambers, just in time to see Quill also returning and Mora carrying a tray of food.

She had poked around at the potatoes on her dish, the chicken looking unappetising and the cheese and grapes disinteresting her.

All the Princess could think about, was Prince Bucky's stolen kiss from her.

It has been magical. And yet she was infuriated with him at the same time.

It had taken her completely off guard. And he had hurried away before she had a chance to process what had happened.

He had saved her from the guards outside, although he had the ability to take it away just as easily, and that made her worrisome.

She felt extremely conflicted.

Loretta had almost forgotten that she had told Prince Steven they would meet again tonight. She remembered telling him she would if her Father allowed it.

But why did he have to know?

He was probably in the Great Hall right now feasting with all of them and his Knights, getting drunk on wine and not even thinking about his daughter locked away in her room. It was as if he saw her as nothing but a pawn in his strategic game. She suspected she had stopped being his daughter a long time ago now. Probably when he realised she was becoming more difficult to control.

She knew getting past Quill would not be an issue to meet Prince Steven, but if anyone else saw her without the King's permission, she may be room-bound a lot longer.

Excitement and adrenaline were the forefront of her nervous system right now. She suspected she was still on a high from the kiss she still had etched onto her skin.

So the Princess grabbed a couple of her blades, remembering that the Prince had said he would show her how he fought and wanting him to keep good on that promise. Perhaps she could show him too. He had, after all seemed impressed with her other interests.

She stashed them under her skirts in her waistband, combing her hair and deciding to forgo her crown. She took a deep breath in, steeling herself as she was about to break the rules again.

Just as she was about to open the door, Quill looked as if he was about to knock on the other side.

"Gods Ser Quill, you made me jump!" Loretta sighed as she put a hand to her chest. He looked at her apologetically.
