The next day the Princess was unsure how to even approach Prince Barnes.

Half of her was deeply ashamed she had let herself go that far with anyone, let alone him. That small rebel part within her now diminished in the light of the morning, as she feared he would tell the others, or her Father of her actions.

Actions that were not deemed at all suitable or righteous for a lady of her position.

The other half of her had never felt more alive and happy than in this moment. The part that fought for her rights to pleasure as a woman. The part that had followed her heart and been allowed desires that only men in this world could openly chase.

Now she knew what she was missing, she never wanted to go back. She was unsure it was ever possible to feel so good, and now she knew it was, she wanted it again. Badly.

But how he had just left her, without another word. It made her frustrated to the Gods that he would not even stay and talk things through. Running away from his feelings again.

She felt saddened that Wanda was not here to talk it through with. But she would find her. She had to keep pushing forward with her plan.

A servant came in to lace up her corset against her silver dress, pulling tightly on the ribbons as she felt her gaze wash over her. Perhaps she was being paranoid. But it made her do a double glimpse in the mirror to ensure no physical trace of her encounter last night was left on her skin.

Was it that obvious?

It was as if she had the word Harlot written over her face.

She felt as if everyone would be able to tell, just by looking at her, that she had betrayed herself and her father.

Maybe she had imagined the whole thing. Nothing more than a lusty dream.

When she eventually was escorted to the dining hall, she was surprised to see the two princes there, with Prince Bucky missing.

She frowned slightly, trying not to let the disappointment show. However, Prince Loki caught it immediately.

"He is running late. Overslept I am afraid your majesty. He will be down shortly no doubt." Loki sneered, a fake smile on his face.

The Princess sat down with the others to eat, feeling unable to make much conversation as she was so much in her head.

Perhaps he had changed his mind? Realised she was now tainted goods and he did not want her.

She felt sick with worry.

What if a guard had seen them? Caught him leaving? What if he was being dragged to the cells right now?

After a while of small talk that was hard to get through with the others, she finally felt herself release her breath when Prince Barnes walked in.

He gave her a small, sheepish smile, before quickly averting his gaze from everyone and taking a seat, mumbling apologies.
