I now finally accept that I can not be happy for too long.
Because it's my cruel fate; sadness.
"..but there's a slight problem."
Kevaun's awake?
..and which "slight problem" this lady a talk bout?
"W-what happened?"
"He's having trouble remembering.. he just— he doesn't remember anything, at all."
Hours before.
It has been two years since the incident, two years since Kevaun has yet to wake up and two tough years since I gave birth to our beautiful baby girl.
..and today marks my gorgeous girl's second birthday.
To say I'm excited is not an understatement.

There's nothing wrong with being happy to celebrate my child because for one, she is my child.
And her birthday is a special day, so I'll definitely go all out for my baby.
Kiehlani's high pitched voice takes over the room and I quickly turn to tend to her but-
"Yay! Mommy baby a walk eno!" I say proudly, my smile wide as I watch her take small steps towards me.
Ouuu yes!
Our morning started off great.. and thank God Kiehlani is in a good mood.
'Cause if she wasn't, It'd be a hell of a day.
She finally reaches me and her grip is firm on my leg. I smile at her, happy that she's finally starting to walk and that I witnessed it.
Unlike most babies, walking was the last thing on Kiehlani's mind.
She literally hates the ground and finds comfort in people's arms.
I was scared at first but when I went to the doctor, I found out it was sort of a normal thing for babies.
So I stopped pressuring her to walk and waited.. until today, where she finally decided to be brave and go off.
Mi so happy fi mi child.
"You did a great job precious." I cooed, receiving loud giggles as I tickle her tummy.
