"Ok, this is gonna take a while, so I was thinking we'd go somewhere to relax and talk..?"
I suggest, my voice questioning.

It's safe to say that I'm nervous- both, to talk to him about his previous life and to see how he'd react.

"Who's gonna stay here with our baby?" Hearing him calling her his child, is pleasing to my ears.
I've wanted to hear that for years, and the fact that our family is finally coming back together, warms my heart.

I smile before I reply, "She'll come with us, but if you-"

"No, that's fine.. she can fawd. Would give me some more time to bond with her, you know." I nod, fully understanding where he's coming from.

Honestly wanted it to be a lil date for just us, but three of us together will be perfectly fine.

Not like he's going nowhere.. I'd have my time with him soon.

"I'm gonna get dressed. You can use the guest bathroom or you can just wait until I'm finished."

yuh cyaa serious.

I am hoping he declines, because I'd love to be in the shower with him, but the reason for why I said that makes sense.
'Cause it's not like things are how they used to be, so showering together would be kinda weird.

So it just felt necessary to point out.. right?

He chuckles, shaking his head as he stares at me.

I look at him puzzled, a little unsure of why he's laughing.

"We a bathe together, pretty."

..and with that, he leads the way to our bedroom, leaving no room for debate.

"I think the pants would look better with it." He says, looking away from his spliff.

Yeaaa, he's still on medication, most of them being pain killers for his headaches but my pleading did not stop him for searching for his weed.

..and it took a while.

Nodding in agreement I lift my towel, exposing my black thong then, comes my struggle with putting on my pants.

I know it's a matter of time before I'd have to do a clothing restock.

The little weight I gain after I had Kiehlani has been hella challenging to manage, which is why I went on a diet.

That wasn't for long though, cause a week later I started back on the 'fast food spree.'

"Pardon?" I ask, pushing for him to repeat what he said before bringing back my attention to my pants.

"C-can you go check if Lani is awake please?.. and if she is, can you get her dressed?" I pant, releasing the pants foot from my hold.

"Alright, pretty and mek sure when mi fawd back yuh ready. Change the pants if that too tight."

He leaves the room, and I'm back to another struggle- finding a bottom to wear.
