Mito
My eyes were downcast as I laid in bed. It was mid-morning as the fresh smell of breakfast from the kitchen started to fade away meaning it was more than likely starting to get cold.
I could hear my mother and sister chatting happily while they cooked for everyone but I didn't care to join them. I didn't care to be here. I didn't agree with this arranged marriage and they knew that but like always they didn't care about how I felt.
The next thing I knew the door to my room slid open revealing my sister with a very annoyed face.
"Of course, that's where you are. Mom and I have been busy cooking for lord Butusama's family while you've been in here doing nothing". She crossed her arms. I said nothing, it was pointless to fight with her over household matters.
"Because of your laziness, Mother had to come up with a lie for you. As punishment, you're not going to have what's left over from breakfast or any lunch. What you are going to do is get off your ass and go tidy up lord Hashirama's room". I still said nothing.
Lord Hashirama's room was much bigger than I expected it to be. There was a wooden queen-sized bed with turoqiuze covers and white sheets. The bedframe looked handmade and expertly done at that. The bed wasn't the only thing made out of wood, however.
The desk in the corner was handmade, as well as the two tall book selves across the room along with the smaller one on the wall. The dresser that was sitting in front of his bed and the two nightstands that were on both sides of his bed. Everything was made out of wood.
"Impressive I know. My aniki made everything by himself thanks to his woodstyle. He even made beds for me and my older brothers". His little sister Aki said coming into the room, I turned around smiling.
"Greetings Lady Aki and yes, Lord Hashirama is indeed talented. All of this is breathtaking to see". She crossed her arms glaring at me. "Don't patronize me, why are you and your family here? Why do you want to marry my brother"?
"I never said I wanted to marry your brother. My parents want me to marry your brother, there's a difference".
"Huh"?
"I don't mean to be rude Lady Aki but I must get back to my duties". I turned back around and started tending to the clothes scattered on the floor.
Tobirama
He held me. Izuna actually held me in his arms as I cried. It had been so long since I felt him embrace me I had forgotten what it felt like but he did it without hesitation.
I became his priority in that moment and he soothed me until I was able to calm down. I missed it. I missed the smell of his smoky cologne. It reminded me of the campfires we used to make together as kids and brought me to a place of comfort.
I felt safe in his arms. I was protecting him but in a way, he was also protecting me. I know this mission will end eventually but if I can get the chance to smell it one more time I'll be ok
"Tobirama. Tobirama".
"Huh"?
"There you are, I've been calling your name for a while now. You ok"? "Yeah, just thinking is all. Sorry about that". He shook his head. "No need to apologize, I'm worried about my brother as well".
Yeah, that's exactly what I was thinking about.
"Were you asking me something"? "Yeah, I was wondering if you could sense where our brothers are"? "The village up ahead actually". "Really? That's great". I nodded and continued to walk beside him. He no longer wore his bandages since his eyes were healed allowing me to see them shine beautifully in the sun.
