Her screams filled the room as Morpheus vanished before our eyes. What the hell just happened? One minute they were all frozen, the next they fell to the floor, Morpheus disappeared and two large dog-like creatures appeared next to Star.

The sound of bones cracking and skin ripping was followed by Raven's deep voice trying to comfort Eveleen, "Shh, malen'kaya boginya, he'll come back, I promise," he told her.

Corey's arms wrapped around her as well, "Just breathe, baby. It will be okay."

"What the fuck happened?" Gabe asked as he held a shaky Victor.

"Erebus," Kota answered. He looked pale as Luke and Nate rubbed his back. "Raven and Corey had just marked Luna when he came into the cavern. He was trying to pull her back into the kitten spell. He had no idea she had changed - well that any of us had actually. He still thinks you and Morpheus are tethered to one another."

I shook my head in surprise, "He had no clue?"

"None," Victor said. "Morpheus sent us back somehow to keep him from finding out."

"He released me," she whispered, then looked at her arm. My words caught when I saw the mark.

"You...he..." I stuttered.

She gave a half-hearted laugh, "Yeah, we were surprised as well."

"Surprised about what, Tesoro?" Owen asked, looking at her arm. "Oh, shit! But I thought he wasn't your soulmate?"

She swiped at her eyes, leaning against Corey's chest, "I don't know, but somehow we created a bond."

Gabe came and knelt before her, "Then use that damn bond, little wolf. Reach out and find him - pull him to you now. Erebus can't fucking follow him here."

Her eyes lit up as she realized his words. She closed her eyes and a wide grin spread across her face. "Incoming," she whispered.

There was a loud popping sound and a badly bruised Morpheus crashed to the floor near my feet. "Oh, fuck," I muttered and started letting my light cover his form, searching for his wounds and healing them.

"Shit that hurt," he grumbled. "Fucking oversized, arrogant titan." He scanned the room and then let his head fall back on the floor. "Good, you all made it back safely."

Crack! She slapped his face. "Good? Really, that's all you have to say after scaring the absolute fuck out of me?"

"On that note, I think we should leave," North said, "Your kids would love to see you and she's gonna kick his ass," he snickered to Corey and Raven, along with most of the others.

"Damn, now I feel sorry for his ass," Victor laughed as he and Gabe just shook their heads and ushered the others from the room. Only Owen and I remained with them. He was right though, I kinda feel sorry for Morpheus right now. I've been on the receiving end of her anger and it isn't pretty - and that was before goddess powers.

He was still rubbing his face with a look of total confusion. "How am I in trouble? I kept all of you safe."

Her eyes swirled as her silvery hair began to move, "You idiot! Why the fuck did you stay? Why not come with us? I thought he was going to kill you! You can't just bond your fucking soul to mine, then say "I release you" and think I'll be just peachy. For a fucking god, you are an absolute idiot!" she ranted as his eyes grew bigger and bigger.

I nudged his shoulder, "Been out of the dating pool for a while, I'm guessing?" Owen made a snorting laugh sound at my comment. Morpheus just looked at me like I'd grown a second head. "Focus, man. She's not done yet," I told him with an even bigger grin.

He looked back at her and realized she was now sobbing. "Little star, I'm...I'm sorry. I thought you knew he couldn't kill me. Please, please stop crying," he begged, pulling her to him. "I...I don't know what to do." He looked like he was about to faint. In a way, I was enjoying the hell out of this, but I also felt sorry for the poor guy. He was so out of his depth.

Star sniffled, "What...what do you mean he can't kill you?"

He lifted her chin, "Don't you remember what I told you? You can't kill dreams. I am made of dreams and nightmares. Erebus can't kill me, no one can really. You can make me vanish for a while, but as long as creatures dream, I will always exist."

She threw her arms around him, practically crushing his neck, "You're still an idiot."

He wrapped his arms around her and laughed, "But I'm your idiot." She giggled softly, then gave a small moan as his lips moved down her neck. "Now, I believe we were interrupted before." He pulled her onto his lap, their clothes vanishing. Owen and I started to move, but suddenly our clothing vanished as well. "I said, we were interrupted," he grinned as he crooked his finger at us.

Owen and I exchanged a mischievous look as we took his hand. The feel of a soft mattress met my back as he teleported us to our bedchambers. In seconds, his lips were on mine as Owen had Star pinned to the mattress next to us. His hands roamed across my skin, his lips devouring my pale skin. I let out a groan when his hand gripped my cock and began pumping. "Touch me, please," he begged as his lips met mine again.
