Akari woke up the next day, it was Monday. I was sore, tired, and mentally drained. I felt very sad. I decided to stay home from school, my parents stayed with me and notified the school.
I also texted Kura and told him that I wasn't feeling well and couldn't go to school, I also apologized that I couldn't explain what happened yet. He said it was fine and that he understood and hoped that I felt better soon.
We spent most of the day spending time together, watching movies, playing board games. They were trying to cheer me up. My mom and dad made me some cozy meals. I spent the rest of my day either reading or trying to get my mind off things by coloring or sitting around in my room.
The news station on T.V has a small bit about what happened to me, but I wanted to keep my identity secret. And they didn't mention anything about villains, just that a girl got kidnapped and managed to escape. And that they caught some gang members that were in the area. The police were keeping it secret for now and I refused to speak to any journalist. I sat in my chair in my room with a blanket around me. I turn to look at Bluebell.
"Hey Bluebell, you wana tell me anything about Yaro? Like, what made you choose him? Anything you can tell me?" I ask, tiredly.
Bluebell floats over to me, a cookie in their paws, my mom had just made some.
"Well, I can't tell you his identity. It would complicate things and would jeperdise your charms if the villains would capture any of you, then all hope would be lost." Bluebell says with their mouth full.
"Okay, I get that, but like why did you choose him out of all other people? Was it just some random dude walking around?" I say moving my hands around in the air.
"Oh no not just some rando. I can sense and see the most pure people, those with good intentions. The light inside them. So, I just got someone, who was close enough that met the standards." Bluebell says casually.
I raise an eyebrow. "It seemed like he knew me, he called me by my first name."
"Well cause, I obviously told him your name and how desperate I was to save you." Bluebell says sassily.
I cross my arms.
"Well anyways, when I heal up more I need to go meet him... I have to tell him the gist of everything. About the Kagé. So we can form a team against the Kiba. So... Since you know who he is, you bring him to me for a meeting." I say, pointing at Bluebell.
"Right, let's get your team started!" Bluebell says excitedly.
I go to bed and by the time I know it, it's the next day and time for school again.
I felt a bit better and surprisingly my wounds were healed almost entirely. Not sure if it's from the magic charm or what. I just had a couple small cuts and bruises on my face that would be visible to anyone. Couldn't really cover it up that much with makeup. But the big wound on my back, still had a nasty scab on it. Probably going to have a huge scar.
Even though it was getting closer to the summer and it was warm out I decided to keep my jacket on to cover up some of my injuries. I finished getting dressed, looking down at my broken glasses.Guess I can't wear these anymore.
Luckily I had some spare contacts that I never used. My mom got me some just in case I ever wanted to wear them. The prescription wasn't perfect but I can buy some more later. Which is a shame because they're so expensive and you only need to buy glasses once, but those are also a pain because they fog up and get dirty and plenty of other things.
I go down and eat breakfast, my parents were worrying about me and told me to be careful."Here, you can use this if you get in trouble again sweetie." My dad says, as he hands me an emergency alarm button.
I look down at it in my hands.
