We were all getting ready to depart Rivendell. I would certainly miss this place. It was one of the few places that felt like home.

Before we left, I wanted to visit Arwen. I believe everyone was getting ready to settle in for one more night here so everyone seemed to be occupied but me. I could just barely hear a conversation between Frodo and an older voice, perhaps the uncle that found the ring. Gandalf had told me he resided here now.

I began searching for Arwen. I presumed she would be in her room, so I checked there first. I went to knock on her door but before I could bring my fist to the wood, it opened. A smiling Arwen gazed back at me and she immediately ushered me in and engulfed me in her arms. I saw her as a sister. Even though only meeting here a few times, I cared for the elf.

I wrapped my arms around her. "Y/N! I missed you!" I smiled, "As did I, Arwen." We both then took a seat on her rather large bed, though I'm sure she had hardly actually slept in it. We began talking about what had been going on, my travels, and the upcoming journey. "You aren't scared?" She asked calmly. "I suppose I am both scared and excited. I'm finally stepping out of my comfort zone." She smiled. "About time!" We both laughed.

After a while of chatting, our conversation moved onto our fellow companions. "What do you think of them?" She questioned me. "They aren't too bad, though one really gets on my nerves." I frowned, thinking of the man that spouted nonsense during the meeting. "I believe Aragorn mentioned him. He always said Boromir was a pain to deal with." Boromir? That must be his name. "I did not know his name, so thank you." I smiled at her again. "Did I say too much?" She asked and we both laughed.

"Aragorn? You are close with him?" I asked, since she always seemed to speak highly of the man. "I thought I told you?" I shook my head, slightly leaning it to one side, asking her to continue. "I care for him deeply
Y/N, I wanted to ask you of something actually." She spoke calmly again. "Please look out for him. I am afraid he always seems to get into trouble and I want him to return safely." She tilted her head down while fiddling with her fingers. I brought my hand to her shoulder "Of course Arwen. I will do what I can." I spared her a kind smile. Deep down, I was worried that none of us would return at all.

After a final embrace, I left Arwen to her thoughts and began making my way towards the room I was staying in. I wasn't tired, though I knew my body needed energy. Elves rarely needed sleep, but since I wasn't exactly elf-kind, I needed more sleep than others. Arriving at my room, I just decided to sleep to make time fly quicker.

It was dawn, and the fellowship had began to wake. I could hear the distant neighs of horses and footsteps out in the courtyard. After cleaning myself and changing into more suitable clothing, I made my way down the stairs where I noticed Elrond standing in-front of the fellowship. Arwen was stood next to him, and she gave me a warm smile. Everyone seemed to be packing food into their bags, and I noticed the hobbits had stuffed their faces with elvish food. I grabbed a piece of lembas bread. This stuff lasted forever, so I stuffed some into my empty pockets. I also noticed my horse had been brought through, carrying everything I had left on him. I stroked his mane and fed him a few fruits. I turned to Elrond. "Can he be left here?" Elrond nodded towards me before Arwen spoke. "I will take good care of him,
Y/n" She smiled and took his reins. He now had a saddle, which I presumed the elf guards had placed on him when they realised he had no owner.

"Thank you." I spoke softly and Arwen nodded at me, then at a guard, who began to lead him away. Before he could, I grabbed a few essentials and patted him goodbye. I hoped to reunite with him again, though I didn't know if I would.
