Chapter Six - 'Where's she Gone?'

(Mike)

Me and Foxy check the office. Foxy is unusually quiet, and I can tell that he's worried about (your name). I keep telling him not to worry, that she's probably fine, but I can't help but feel puzzled by her disappearance. Where would she have gone? The doors are locked.

"She's not here." Foxy says distantly, fixing his gaze on the desk, where (your name) usually sits at the beginning of the night.

"Do you have any idea where she's gone?" I ask Foxy. After a moment's hesitation, Foxy shakes his head, staring at his feet as if they're the most interesting thing on Earth.

"I have no idea." Foxy mumbles and then raises his voice. "If I did, I'd be with her right now!"

"I know, I know." I mutter. "Keep your eye-patch on!"

Foxy mumbles something which I can't hear and turns away, walking back into the hallway.

"Let's check the storage room again." Foxy demands. I shrug and follow him to the storage room. He pushes open the door and walks in. "(Your name)? Are you in here?"

Nothing. No one answers. I hear Foxy's breathe quicken and I can almost hear his panic shoot through the air like lightening. I shudder.

I pad forward and place my hand on his shoulder. "There's nothing we can do. She's probably hiding or sleeping somewhere; you know she likes to do that."

To my surprise, Foxy whirls around. "There is everything we can do!" Then his shoulders sag. "I'm sorry... I'm just so worried."

"I know." I shrug. "She's just in one of her moods... sulking somewhere, no doubt."

Foxy laughs, a dry, forced laugh. "Yeah." He pauses beside the door. "Let's head back to the Dining Area. The other's may have found out something."

"Good idea." I nod and I trail behind Foxy, back to the Dining Area.

Drusilla walks ahead of me as we check the Backstage Area. We don't speak and the only sound we can hear is our breathes.

I decide to break the silence. "Do you have any idea?" I ask.

"If I did, I would have told you!" Drusilla snaps and stalks ahead, inspecting one of the suits and wrinkling her nose up. She grumbles something inaudibly.

I understand how she must feel. (Your name) is Drusilla's best friend; she must be very upset about not being able to know where she is.

We lapse into silence again and I check each suit. I'm not sure why. She wouldn't be stupid enough to get inside one. I hope, at least.

"I just hope that she's okay." I announce, and Drusilla whips around to face me. I take a step back, shocked and surprised.

"It was your fault!" Drusilla blurts. "You should have told her the truth, and then she wouldn't be missing! I trusted you, and this is what happens! I told you to tell her, but you didn't!"

Anger fills inside me. "Foxy argued with her!" I shoot back. "He could have told her the truth as well, you know!"

Drusilla huffed, tiny flames burning in her eyes. "You always blame my brother, don't you?" When I open my mouth, she holds up a finger. "My brother made a couple mistakes, but this time it was you!"

Drusilla turns on her heels and storms away, pausing before she left out of the door. "I'm going to search myself; without you!"

I stare after her, fumbling for something to say. But I have no idea. Frustration reaches me. She's partially right. I growl. Why did she always have to take Foxy's side? Foxy made tons of mistakes!

I roll my eyes and sigh, turning back to searching.
