Thank God I was able to update this today! School is such a drag.. But this is a total bonus for you guys, right? Right. Now let's begin :)

CHAPTER TEN - 'Whispers'

You rest your head against your knees and breathe in and out, steadying yourself. You hated everything about the situation.

For some reason, your mind flicks back to the argument with Foxy and what Freddy had been talking to Bonnie about. Was this it? You whimper quietly.

'Thanks for freeing me, darling.' The voice whispers.

You flinch and dig your nails into your arm, trying to make sure that it's a nightmare. But it isn't. It's real and it's happening, and a weird supernatural puppet is on the loose.

That's when you hear footsteps. At first you fear that it's the puppet, but then realize that the puppet could have transported down to where you were. It must have been a human then.

Your breathing hitches and then there are voices. One then two faces appear, very familiar but in your state of shock, you can't put a name to then.

"You're gonna be fine." A male voice reassures you.

A pair of hands grip your shoulders and help you to your feet. "Freddy's sorting it all out, don't worry." Another female voice adds.

"Should I-" Another deeper voice begins but is cut off as the girl glares at him. No, not a him - a golden blob of color.

"No, Freddy and the others will sort it." The girl stares at you and then begins pulling you up the stairs, your feet heavy with shock and disbelief.

"Should we put her on a chair?" The golden blob asks.

"Nah, on the stage. " The first male voice decides. "That way, Freddy could see if that thing did anything. And, plus, Foxy would want to see her."

As you're lowered onto a stage, darkness itches at the corners of your vision, and then you slip into a restless sleep, flailing in darkness.

(Mike)

Once we lower (your name) onto the stage, I turn and stare at Gold, who's standing awkwardly at the side. Drusilla is sat on the edge of the stage, checking on (your name) every ten seconds.

"What shall we do?" I ask to break the silence.

"Should we get Freddy?" Gold suggests, and he glances at the sleeping (your name).

"I'll get him!" Drusilla jumps up and, before we can stop her, she's running towards the backroom. I turn to face Gold again, who shrugs.

"Do we need to worry about this puppet?" I nod towards (your name).

"Marionette." Gold corrects me. "And... You could say that."

"So, this Marionette is dangerous?" I state. "Is he as evil as you lot?"

"He's got a different attack strategy." Gold explains. "He has this music box, and when it isn't wound up, he rises from the box and then goes to where the humans are. Only at night, like us."

"So." I decide. "He's dangerous."

"Yes." Gold nods. "And he can make us do things... not good things, either."

"Why?" I ask, tilting my head in curiosity.

"It's complicated but-" Gold breaks off as there are footsteps, and Foxy rushes in, his eyes wild. His gaze travels from us to the stage, where (your name) is still asleep.

"What happened?" He demands. "Is she hurt?"

"No, she's fine." Gold waves it away with a hand gesture in the air.

"We heard." The deep voice of Freddy echoes around the dining area. "Is (your name) okay?"

"She's good, I think." Drusilla trails behind Freddy, Bonnie coming in last. "Oh. And did you guys find Marionette?"

"He went back to his box." Freddy explains and then turns to Gold. "Were the others still in their boxes? We don't want them running around here, either."

"I didn't get time to look." Gold shrugs. "I'll go back later."

"Keep the door closed, though." Freddy warns him. "If the Marionette is up and alive, then we could be in more trouble than ever."

Foxy whimpers quietly. "What will (your name) think? She'll want to find out all about it!"

"Then we don't tell her anything." Freddy decides. "Just keep your mouth shut and don't tell her anymore information than it needed."

"Why?" My interest quickens.

"Because," Freddy tells me. "What's in the past is in the past, and (your name) need not know any of our history."

"Fine." I shrug, curiosity dissipating.

"Good." Freddy glances at (your name). "Let's get in our places. Mike, watch her, okay. Come on, let's go."
