Chapter Nine - 'Puppet on the Loose'

You can barely believe all that has happened. You attempted to make yourself believe that it was all a nightmare, but can't make yourself believe it. It reminds you too much of when Vincent had died.

Your breathing is shallow and irregular, seeming to feel the empty darkness of the room. Cold, you shiver and clutch your arms to your legs, placing your forehead on your knees in surrender. For real this time, you don't mind whether you die. Anything to get out of this terrifying situation.

You lie down and close your eyes, when a sudden thought bursts into your mind. What about the others? Mike, Foxy, Freddy and the gang?

Then you remember what the voices had said and told you.

Had this all been a secret? Is this what Bonnie and Freddy had been chattering about? The knowing glance cast between the animatronics? The argument that you and Foxy had had?

You sigh and eventually fall into a restless sleep, punctured with dreams of puppets and paranormal activities.

(Mike)

I follow Freddy towards the kitchen, and then Gold stops, turning to face us. To be honest, I don't trust Gold one tiny little bit. But maybe he does know where (your name) is.

"What is it now?" Freddy growls impatiently. Gold tips his head to the side, a smile on his face. "We don't have time for games." Freddy glares.

"Well.. you're not going to like this." Gold starts. "But she found them. She found the boxes and the puppet is on the loose-"

"WHAT?" Freddy shouts, aghast. I glance in confusion to Drusilla. She doesn't seem surprised. I then look at Bonnie and Freddy. Neither of them look shocked.

"How did she find them?" Bonnie asks curiously.

"I have no idea." Gold shrugs. "All I know is that the damned puppet is out here somewhere. Who knows what he could do to us?"

I groan. Not another paranormal thing ready to kill me. Great. This is just absolutely fantastic... not!

"Right." Freddy suddenly spoke again. "Me, Bonnie and Foxy will find the puppet and Drusilla, Mike, you can go with Gold."

"What? No!" Foxy protests. "I want to find (your name) and make sure she's okay! Who knows what could have happened to her-"

"I want to go with you Freddy!" Drusilla chipped in. "You guys could get injured or badly hurt or even die!"

"That's all the more reason for you to go with Gold." Freddy pointed out and then turned to Foxy. "Two of us can't take the Marionette. Even you know that. I know you love (your name), but for once let Gold, Mike and Drusilla take care of it."

Foxy sighed, a long, weary and drawn out sigh. "Fine, but," He whirled around to face Gold. "If she gets hurt, you will find your face planted in the tiles, got it?"

Gold grinned. "Got it, fox."

Freddy nodded and Bonnie, along with Foxy, started towards the office. I turn back to face Drusilla and Gold. Drusilla is looking disappointed, like a child who wasn't allowed some cookies.

"Come on, then." I look at Gold. "Show us where."
