Bonus: Fun Facts!!

**Ello lovelies and welcome to the Fun Facts section of this project! I have done this at the end of all my projects and this one is no different! Here we'll just be chilling and having fun as we say farewell to another story. So, sit back, relax, and enjoy the randomness!**

1.) This kinda goes without saying, but I'm gonna say it anyway – I am a huge Shiggy simp. Like, this man could step on me, and I would say thank you. I know. So healthy, right?

2.) I've mentioned this in another Fun Facts section, but I am what's known as a pantser writer. This just means that I don't really outline. For me, I know how I want the story to end, but how we get there is a surprise to even me.

3.) In the shower scene in book two, there is symbolism in how they bathe each other. For Tomura, he washes Illika's body first. This represents how she trusts him not to hurt her, but when she bathed him, she started with his hair. This represents his trust in her and in belief, she won't do anything to his memory. It's a trade and expression of trust.

4.) I struggled with this book's epilogue. It took me forever to actually finish it. It was a pain lol.

5.) For this project, I chose an OC x character plot because I knew some rough stuff would happen to Illika, and I didn't want to put that in a Y/N setup. It might still be a first-person POV, but at least there is some distance with this being an OC.

6.) Illika is able to learn new languages by using the memories of someone from that culture. For example, the old woman in the first book was the person whose memories she used. She didn't delete those memories, but by observing and collecting some of them, she was able to copy the language. That said, if she went to another country and did the same, she would lose the previous language. The only language that stays ingrained is her native tongue, which is English. Also, I'll add that unless she is purposely trying to learn the language, it won't just find its way to her. She has to mean it.

7.) Illika's quirk evolved during one of her fights with Shigaraki in the second book due to her overwhelming feelings for him. Intense feelings (in this AU, anyway) can lead to quirk evolutions. This is why her quirk acted on its own and why the images she saw became clearer and more like films.

8.) In the world of anime and fiction, I simp over a lot of morally gray characters with questionable beliefs and behaviors (to say the least). However, when it comes to the real world, not so much. It's almost as if I can tell the difference between fiction and reality lol. For real, though...that bad boy who just likes to fight is probably not your knight in shining armor.

9.) Not gonna lie...I would also let Dabi step on me. I told you... Questionable taste lol.

10.) Typing the scenes where Asahi kept being creepy with Illika made me feel icky. I did not like those scenes, but I knew they would add to her trauma.

11.) Illika was originally going to be named Illiah, but then it changed to Illika when it randomly popped into my head. I also briefly considered Koen.

12.) Illika will never return back to Ohio and she has made peace with that. Do her parents worry and think about her? Yes, but they still fear her quirk, and that fear outweighs everything else.

13.) As time progresses, Tomura will allow Illika to look more into his memories, thus allowing their bond to deepen.

14.) I didn't have the heart to follow the original story's plot in killing off Twice. Listen, I bawled when he died. I wasn't about to do the same thing. So, yes. He is still alive at the end of this AU even if it's not mentioned.

15.) Will Illika and Shiggy be together forever, or will they eventually split and go their own ways? That is for readers to decide. Though they're still together at the end, that doesn't guarantee anything for the future. As Illika said, she didn't know what the future held.

16.) I do have a head cannon that Shigaraki does have a soft spot for that special lady (or guy – I don't judge), and he expresses his love through touch and acts of service.

17.) The scene I was most excited to type was the shower scene. I literally thought about it all the time before it was typed. And it was all because of that symbolism.

18.) This isn't mentioned at the end, but Illika's arm is still partly numb, and it will always be that way. She – as Dr. Garaki said – suffered a lot of damage, and some of it was permanent.

19.) Random, but I also simp over Lady Nagant. That woman... The minute I saw her I knew I would let her kick me in the face. Yes...I realize I have issues. Let me live my life lol.

20.) I also have a head cannon that Tomura likes to cuddle and be surrounded by soft things. I truly believe he likes comfort and to feel some semblance of touch.

21.) Do I ship Shiggy with anyone? Well, this may be cliché, but I do ship him with Dabi, but only a little. It's not a ship I heavily invest in, but it is there.

22.) Illika's father's quirk is temperature control (he can control the temperature of a room), while her mother's quirk is emotional manipulation (she can manipulate a person's emotion to help ease them, but it is limited). Neither have strong quirks, so to them Illika's quirk is strong and that is why they fear her. That said, she cannot manipulate their memories in any way. Even with that knowledge, they still feared her.

23.) Though Illika was mesmerized by the ocean, I am terrified of it. I have both thalassophobia (the fear of open water – the ocean, lakes, rivers, etc.) and submechanophobia (the fear of submerged – partially or completely – manmade objects). Just looking at images of those make me feel weak and shaky.

24.) If you recall, Tomura had trouble sleeping even before him and Illika became involved. This is because I have another head cannon where I believe he has trouble sleeping because of his childhood.

And

25.) This goes without saying, but I am team villain when it comes to MHA. I can see and understand why they are doing some of the things they're doing. It doesn't make them right, but I get it.

**Well, all my wonderful lovelies, this concludes the Tomura Shigaraki x OC AU project. It feels so strange and weird to be saying goodbye to this project, but I am glad I wrote it. It took a lot of time and patience and frustrating nights, but it was worth it. I enjoyed every step, and love that I was able to share this with others. And I am truly grateful for all the support I've gained through this journey. For real, thank you so, so much. You all really put a smile on my face and reminded me of why I do this. Thank you. As for the future, I will be taking a hiatus. I'm not sure for how long. It could be a few weeks. It could be a few months. It could even be a year. I don't know yet, but I do know that I plan on doing a Vash the Stampede fanfic next. I'm not sure if it'll be an x Y/N or x OC yet, as I am still in the early stages of planning, but I will let everyone know when the time comes via my profile.
