You were just a royal problem

As I looked to the stunned trio of Fairy Tail mages I experienced the most awkward tension I had ever experienced, even when Gwen told me she was dating Kevin wasn't as awkward as this- then again that I saw coming from a mile away. Mirajane, Elfman and Cana all looked at me like I was making this up but there was also a tiny bit that seemed like they believed me. I sighed as I looked away, having expected this I walked over to the job board and picked up a job slip which was to help about a monster infestation at the edge of town "This seems easy enough." I smiled as I walked over and handed the job to Mirajane.
"Y-You're taking a solo job Ben?" Mirajane asked as I nodded.
"If no one is gonna believe me, why waste time?" I asked as Mira nodded, stamping the piece of paper with a claimed stamp.
"Well...take care." Mira smiled, not wanting anything to happen.
"Eh I'll be fine." I smirked as I ran out of the guild, passing a group of four people with colourful hair ranging from yellow to green to blue and another green.

As I got to the house with the monster infection it looked like a posh house with two stories and at least six windows just on the front alone. I approached the door however the moment I did screams happened as a young woman rushed out the house with a horde of 20 spiders following her. I didn't waste a single moment as I slammed down my watch and my body began to change. Slowly my body grew taller, and my skin started becoming as hard as diamonds, my face started changing as did the shapes of my arms as I fired some diamond shards, missing the 20 spiders but scaring them off before triumphantly calling "Diamond Head!" With a smirk on my face.
As the young woman looked up to me her face paled as she fell backwards onto her butt and looked up to me intimidated, immediately knowing why this was I held out my hand to which she hesitantly took. "Thank...you for saving me...diamond man." The girl with green hair slowly said as she got to her feet, letting go of me as she did so.
"No worries ma'am, it's also Diamond Head, not man. I'm a mage from Fairy Tail sent to help you with your infestation." I explained as the woman smiled happily.
"Thank you so much sir, with someone like you I know we can get rid of the giant spider in my basement. It webbed up my father when they tried doing something so I had no choice but to ask for help, if I may how comes I haven't asked you around before?" The girl who looked around my age asked as I awkwardly responded.
"I'm new to the guild, but I promise you I can help you." I explained as she nodded.
"M-Makes sense, with someone as strong as you on our side I'm sure we can get rid of them in no time." The girl smiled as I nodded before hearing a familiar beeping sound coming from the red symbol on my arm.
"Aww snap." I groaned as with a flash of green I turned back to normal, looking up at the girl who was now disappointed.
"They sent...a kid?" She slowly asked as I nodded.
"Trust me, I'm strong enough to help- I beat Loke in a fight earlier today." I bragged as she rolled her eyes.
"Of course you did kid." She sighed as I narrowed my eyes in anger.
"Excuse you, you look the same age as me, so you have no right to call me kid!" I responded angrily as she glared at me.
"Oh yeah? Kid, Kid, Kid!" She said trying to anger me as I rolled my eyes and just walked into the house without a moments hesitation.
"Whatever, your problem is in the basement right?" I asked as she nodded.
"Yeah but I doubt a kid like you could help." She smirked.
"I just kicked 20 spiders butts just now whilst you cowered in fear, watch me and get ready to say sorry." I growled as I slowly entered the house.

The interior of the house was as nice as the outside as it was filled with lush furniture and grand golden ornaments showing how wealthy this family is. The moment I noticed this it made sense why the reward for this job was so high, 200,000J for just destroying some spiders was easy. The plan was simple, I will wait outside the basement door and when the Omnitrix is recharged I will turn into Heatblast, save the parents and then torch the bugs out of existence...though that will probably burn the house down the more I think of it...maybe I should think of a back up plan. As I was waiting whilst flicking through my aliens the girl approached from behind. "So what's the plan?" She asked as I shrugged.
"I'm figuring this out, cant you just wait outside?" I asked rolling my eyes as she rolled her.
"I won't let father die to something like that." She huffed as an idea popped in my head.
"Maybe that's what is happening!" I gasped as I ran down the stairs in my human form as I come face to face with a giant spider with a brood of 200 small spiders around her.
On the side was a short man with fading green hair and two spikes of green hair over his lips. He was unconscious however it was clear this was that girl's father. The spider let out a low growl as I put my hands up "You're a mother right?" I asked as the spider stopped growling, confused at what I was doing.
At this point the girl ran down the stairs seeing what was happening, she hid behind me as I looked at the spider "I don't know how you came to be here, but your actions are weird, you only attacked that man because he entered the basement...and I'm assuming so did she," I say as I motion to the kid, the spider lowering her guard as I said this "I know its not the best solution, but please could you guys move into the forest outside of town? I will guide you there and make sure there aren't any hostile species but...you will have to let that man go." I say as the Spider slowly started approaching me and I stood still standing with no fear in my face.
"W-What are you doing?" The girl asked as I looked at her.
"I'm helping with your infestation, the way a hero would." I smiled as the mother spider pressed its massive face against my face as I started petting it.
"How did you know...this would work?" The kid asked as a memory pierced my mind.

I was standing there in the middle of a crater using the form of a giant moth, around me was small versions of that alien as they all cooed happily and slowly flew away.

"I...It was just a hunch," I smiled as I continued petting the spider "can you let go that human now and then I'll guide you back home." I smiled as the spider nodded, letting the man go who slowly looked up at the spider in fear but noticing it was not attacking him.
Slowly the spider approached me as I led the spider out of the basement and into the forest of Magnolia where we found a nice area for the spider to live.

Around an hour later I returned to the house to see the girl on the doorstep sitting next to her father, hugging him with tears on her face. "I thought I lost you daddy!" the girl cried as the man chuckled softly.
"Don't worry, it wont ever happen again." The father said as I approached.
"Hey, the spiders are at their new home, and they won't be attacking yours ever again." I smiled as the father laughed.
"This is just one of our holiday homes, so we could've just given them it but thank you for your help mage of Fairy Tail." The father smiled as I smiled back.
"The names Ben Tennyson." I smiled.
"Well I shall be sending your reward to your guild, and I'll be adding extra for doing this without any property damage." The man smiled as I smiled back.
"Thank you sir, well I'll be off now." I smiled as the girl got to her feet and ran up to me.
"U-Umm I never introduced myself, my name is Hisui...will we ever meet again Ben Tennyson?" Hisui asked as I smiled.
"If you ever visit this 'holiday home' again just let me know and we'll hang out, come on don't be a kid about it." I teased as she glared at me.
"You're the kid!" She retaliated as I smirked.
"Says the kid!" I retaliated as we growled at each other for a second before bursting out in laughter.
"Goodbye Ben." Hisui smiled as I smiled back.
"See you around Hisui." I smiled as I started headed back to the guild.

As I entered the guild I walked up to the bar and smiled at Mira "I finished the job Mira." I smiled as Mira smiled happily.
"Wow that was quick Ben, you were only gone for a couple hours how did it go?" She asked.
"I convinced the spiders to leave their property and saved the girl who submitted the jobs dad." I smiled as Mira tilted her head.
"Where is your payment then? Normally people pay upfront." Mira asked as I smiled.
"They said they would send the payment to the guild-" Before I could finish my sentence a ding happened on a mailbox looking device as Mira took a letter out and opened it before her eyes widened.
"B-Ben how much was that job worth?" Mira asked as I got out the job poster.
"Umm 200,000 why?" I asked as Mira handed me a piece of paper which said the following.

My eyes widened as I looked at Mira "U-Umm is 2 million a lot in this world?" I asked quickly as Mira nodded with her surprised face.
"U-Umm yes it is worth a lot of Ben!" Mira exclaimed as Cana looked over my shoulder.
"What the hell Ben, how did you do that," Cana asked shocked "more importantly could you do me a teensy favour and pay my tab for me?" She asked cheekily.
"T-The man said he would pay me extra for not causing any property damage, but I-I didn't expect this!" I said with shock.
"I mean 1,800,000J isn't just a tiny tip, whoever you just worked for must be loaded." Cana explained.

Back at the edge of town a man in a suit approached with a bow "I heard what happened sir, I apologise for not getting here sooner." The knight bowed with his black hair obscuring his face.
"No need to apologise Arcadios, we had help from a promising young Fairy Tail mage." The old man smiled as he looked towards his daughter who had a blush on her face as he mentioned Ben.
"Is the young princes feeling alright...your highness?" Arcadios asked as the King of the Fiore region nodded.
"She is, she simply has a crush." The king chuckled as Princess Hisui blushed deeply.
"D-Daddy stop it!" She cried with embarrassment as the king chuckled.
"That kid will go far." He smirked as the trio left for the capital.
