Did you know flowers had a language?

A few days had gone by, and I had received a letter from the royal family to journey to the summer home of the King and Hisui. They hadn't specified a reason however knowing how much trouble I was in with Makarov I decided to go. The upsetting part is the time I was given was when Natsu and Erza was having their fight and I really wanted to watch that go down however if I blew this off I would definitely get THAT punishment from Master and from what I've heard of it I would prefer death to that punishment. As I slowly walked from the Strauss house to downtown Magnolia I walked through the market like the first time I had come to Fiore and noticed a booth which was selling fruit baskets which came with a singular Pink rose. I stared at the baskets for a few minutes before the female shop keep with long black hair and a green flower apron spoke up "Are you interested young man?" She asked as I hesitantly nodded.
"Mhm, I'm visiting some people I have met before but since meeting I found out they are way more important so I thought I should get a gift." I explained as the shop keep giggled, misinterpreting what I meant by that and assuming I meant I formed a crush on who I was going to meet.
"My, you're quite for this sort of thing." She giggled as I frowned.
"Hey, I'm old enough to understand this sort of thing!" I rebutted as we unknowingly started to have two different conversations.
"Well then, do you know what this person likes?" She asked as I thought for a second.
"Well there's two of them and their house was very posh." I remembered as the woman gasped.
"A-A triangle?" She exclaimed as I looked at her confused.
"Uhh I'm talking about a father and a daughter." I explained as she calmed down.
"I see, trying to impress the father." She said as I nodded, I was definitely trying to get on the kings good side, so she was certainly correct about that.
"Exactly!" I grinned as she giggled.
"Well, this would certainly fit the bill for what you're wanting." She smiled as I got my wallet out and gave her the price on her sign.
"One please!" I smiled as she nodded, giving a basket from the back.
"Here, good luck I know you can win her over." She gave a thumbs up as I looked at her confused before walking off.
"Weirdo." I mumbled as I continued heading towards the holiday home of the King of Fiore.

As I made it to the front of the house I looked into the woods across from the house where I saw a giant spider looking at me, before walking towards the door I gave it a happy wave to which it somehow understood and waved back. Approaching the door I use the knocker and wait patiently by the door, looking around the garden noticing it was fully repaired after I scared off the initial spiders when I met Hisui...oh god this was gonna be weird considering I had to act nice around her. I groaned at the thought as the door opened revealing a dark skinned and haired man in a set of armour looking down at me. "I assume you are Sir Tennyson?" The knight asked as I quickly nodded, intimidated by his impressive posture.
"Excellent, my name is Arcadios. I am a loyal member of the Royal Guard and I thank you for your work in helping her highness save the king." Arcadios held his hand out to shake it as I shook it with a smile.
"It was my honour." I grinned as I looked past Arcadios to see Hisui standing casually next to the staircase whilst occasionally peaking at me.
"I heard you did a brilliant job which harmed not a soul, including the beast who had attacked the house." Arcadios summarised as I nodded.
"I...experienced how momma spider felt so I wanted to help her, besides its what heroes do." I grinned as Arcadios backed up.
"With everything their highnesses said, that was the response I was expecting. Please come in." He slightly bowed as I took a step in and as I did I realized Hisui had moved and was now steps away from me.
Looking at her I saw her in a pretty green dress with her hair down and a golden crown with a ruby in the middle of it. She had pink cheeks and was silent as she looked at me. "Hey umm...so you're the princess huh?" I asked awkwardly as she nodded.
"Y-You didn't know that originally, did you?" She asked as I shook my head suddenly.
"If I did I would've been way more formal, probably too formal." I chuckled awkwardly before holding out the fruit basket for her.
"I got this from the market for you and your dad- I-I mean his highness." I corrected myself awkwardly as Hisui lightly picked the Pink rose from the basket as her pink cheeks deepened to a light shade of red before she tucked the rose into her hair.
"T-That is very kind of you...dork." She suddenly said in a tonal shift as I felt peeved off by this.
"Oh yeah dweeb?" I asked as I then covered my mouth, having said that accidentally.
Hisui suddenly glared at me however her glare turned into a laughter "Oh my gosh, you are so funny when you're trying to act polite!" She laughed loudly as I looked at her confused.
"Was this not how I am supposed to act?" I asked confused as she just continued her laughter.
"Y-You're such a dork haha!" She continued her laughter as the King entered the room as I saluted him.
"Y-Your highness, thank you for your time." I saluted as Hisui continued her laughter which grew as I said this, I glared at her when I noticed this.
"Don't worry about formality right now Ben, if more people were around it would be necessary however now isn't the time for formality." He softly said as I sighed in relief as Hisui's laughter slowly drifted off whilst the king noticed the pink rose in Hisui's hair.
"Young Ben, may I ask if you know much about the language of flowers?" The king asked as I tilted my head.
"I don't got a clue sir, though I do have an alien who can speak to plants." I exclaimed as I activated my watch, fully ready to turn into Wildvine.
"That wasn't quite what I was asking, you see there are certain reasons why people give certain people certain flowers. For example a Green rose conveys cheerfulness and new beginnings." The King explained as I looked at Hisui who was now silent with red cheeks.
"Wait what does Pink roses mean?" I asked as the king chuckled.
"You should look it up later, if you may follow us to the living room we have much to discuss." The King chuckled as he started heading towards the living room with me following, Hisui in front of me and Arcadios behind me.

As I sat down on the comfiest Sofa I had ever sat on I looked towards the king before a cup of tea was placed in front of me by a servant in a butlers outfit. He gave me a bow before giving the King and Hisui their drinks, giving them bows too. I took a sip of the tea, putting my Pinky finger up as I did so, trying to seem more upper-class then I realistically am. The King looked towards me before speaking "So, were you shocked when you found out how much you had actually been paid?" The King asked as I nodded, placing down the tea with an accidental light thud which I flinched at.
"Y-Yes I was, I gave most of my pay though to the people I'm staying with as thanks." I smiled as the King looked at me with an amused smile.
"You know with that money you might've been able to purchase a place yourself?" The King asked as I sighed.
"Who would sell a house to a ten year old?" I asked as I leaned back into the sofa.
"Umm, if you have adult friends who already have a home couldn't you have asked them to buy it for you?" Hisui asked from next to her dad as my face paled realizing this.
"U-Umm it's just more fun living with people, yeah that was totally my reasoning." I lied as my left eye twitched.
"You're such a liar." Hisui giggled before her father spoke up.
"It speaks to your character if anything, even someone of the age of ten would think about buying a house but you seemingly didn't consider it." The King assumed as I nodded.
"I...I'm used to living with people. Be it my parent or my Grandpa and Cousin I feel so alone if I'm by myself." I admitted awkwardly as Hisui's cheeks turned pink again.
"Well then, lets get to the reason we wanted to meet you. Apart from giving you our thanks once again for the help with the spiders, we wished to request something further. You see every two months we will be visiting Fiore for a week and during that week we would like to see you often." The king requested as I tilted my head.
"Wouldn't someone posher be better to hang out with?" I asked casually as the king chuckled.
"Well we didn't even consider it; in fact it was Hisui here who wished to see you again." The king smirked as Hisui's pink cheeks expanded to her whole face being red from embarrassment.
"D-Daddy!" She exclaimed as I laughed.
"Such a dweeb." I laughed as she glared at me.
"S-Shut it you, you do realise you're speaking to the future queen." She rebutted as I stopped my laughing.
"Anyways, this is completely up to you however you and your guild will be rewarded if you so choose to visit." The king offered as I smiled.
"Even without with reward I would, you guys are fun and after I can go hang out with momma spider." I grinned as the king chuckled.
"Well we cant wait to, as you so put it, 'hang out' soon. Whilst I may be busy most of the time you will have Hisui to speak to. Speaking of I have to go attend a magic meeting, Sebastian if you may tend to Princess Hisui and our guest's needs that would be greatly appreciated." The King smiled towards the butler as he and the knight left for the upstairs leaving us in awkward silence.
"So...what do you want to talk about?" I asked as Hisui's eyes narrowed to the Omnitrix.
"What other aliens can you turn into?" She asked as I chuckled.
"This will take a while."

It was now late at night when I returned to the guild, I had been talking with Hisui all day and honestly it wasn't too bad but as I entered the guild everyone was silent and there was no Natsu or Erza. I walked to Mira who was with Cana and Elfman and asked, "Hey umm...what did I miss?" I asked as Mira sighed.
"Erza was arrested for the destruction of the guild master meeting hall." She sighed as I gulped.
"Umm that doesn't sound good...wait where's Natsu then?" I asked as Cana spoke up.
"He stormed into the council pretending to be Erza which got them both jailed when Erza was about to be let go for saving the guild masters." Cana sighed as I groaned.
"Really? Of course he did." I rolled my eyes as I sat down and ordered a smoothie.
"Hey, Mirajane can I ask you something, do you know what Pink Roses mean?" I asked as Mira looked at me with a teasing grin.
"Oh, are you planning to confess your love for someone- is it someone I know?" Mira asked quickly as I put my arms in front of my face.
"Hold on, I don't know what you're talking about please explain it in a way a guy can understand." I sighed as Mira giggled.
"A pink rose generally means Admiration and Happiness," Mira smiled as I looked at her expecting more.
"That doesn't sound too bad." I sighed.
"As well as a sign of love." She smirked as my face went pale and I fell backwards on my chair, landing on my back in a stunned position.

I'm screwed.
