⌗CHILDHOODTRAUMA
TW - MENTIONS OF ABUSE AND ALCOHOLREAD AT YOUR OWN RISK
"[name] try again," gojo told her, as he was instructed her on hand to hand combat. even though her technique didn't have much to do with combat with her hands, it was a good practice.
"i'll go easier, if that makes it better?" hirokazu said, he awkwardly grinned as he got into stance again.
[name] frowned a bit, she wasn't so confident in herself that she could. even though she was quick and strong in muscles. she wasn't good at this..
as soon as she got into her stance, bringing her fists out and going closer to hirokazu. gojo stopped her.
"fix your stance! geez, how many times do i have to tell you." gojo nagged again, he sighed as he leaned back in his chair. this was starting to annoy him a bit.
after some nagging back and forth from [name's] horrible stance, trying to opt out, and her loosing streak. gojo somewhat snapped.
"cant you try harder? you might not have a good technique and might have good skills in this. but try harder." gojo stated, he crossed his arms as his expression was somewhat disappointed.
as the school year progressed, it seemed gojo's pride and enjoyment towards [name] and hirokazu decreased. since.. they didn't have much potential compared to the other students or sorcerers.
[name] looked over at him, she was out of breath from this. she felt like she was home again, being scolded for not doing something right the first time. she felt like being looked down on, especially from her parents and siblings. everything sorta came crashing down.
"i am trying, i swear! i- i'll try harder, i can be better.." she told him in between breaths. she rubbed her forehead, as it was sweaty and sticky.
hirokazu seemed to notice her stress levels increasing, he glanced over at gojo, before back at her. he placed a hand on her shoulder gently, as he tried to reassure her.
"hey, why don't we take a break? we've been at this for awhile.." he suggested, as he didn't want her to feel overwhelmed by everything.
gojo sighed quietly, he knew his students home life weren't all rainbows and sunshine. he knew perfectly well of [name's] childhood, that was one of the first things he had to know as her teacher. though, he continued to say things he said, even if it did overwhelm her.
that was the thing in jujutsu society, things just didn't matter.

"keep your head up! gojo made me train you, i better get something good out of it." maki harshly stated, she held her wooden blade as she was beating her senior too easily.
[name] panted as she heaved, this was all so tiring. four years later and she still couldn't do things right. she nodded as she got ready the wooden sword again, looking exhausted now.
"WHY CANT YOU BE MORE LIKE YOU SISTERS?!" her father shouted at her, throwing his newspaper at her. he scowled as his daughter was a complete disappointment and disgrace to him.
her mother sat on the couch, her eyes on the TV. not even batting an eye to her husbands yelling or her own child.
"i'm sorry daddy.. i can try harder." [name] muttered, she watched as the newspaper fell to her side. she felt tears about to escape her eyes.
it was only ever her. ever since childhood. out of her five siblings, she was the only one treated like this. she just grew up thinking that something was wrong with her.
"your annoying, get the fuck out of here! can't you just go live on the streets?!" he shouted, slamming his empty bottle of alcohol on the kotatsu. the glass shattered everywhere, hitting little [name's] feet.
"i'm really sorry daddy! don't be mad!!" she whined, as she wailed from fear of her fathers words and shouting. she was only six years old, she didn't understand this. why she was being yelled at.
"shut up!" he picked up some of the shattered glass and threw it at her.
[name] listened as maki shouted at her, wondering why she couldn't just try harder. though, that's what she's been doing her entire life. trying to make herself look, feel, and believe she was trying. it never pleaded anyone, no matter hard she tried.
"what i don't get is why your not anything like hakari or kirara. your only a year older than them, and your horrible at this." maki harshly said, just trying to get [name] to understand where she was at.
"look- i'm sorry okay! i can try harder! i swear!" [name] suddenly bursted out, she felt tears trying to spill out of her eyes. she dropped the wooden blade as she brought her hands up to her face. feeling the tears just drop from the pressure and memories.
"i'm really sorry, that i disappoint you so much. just- please don't be mad or say anything!" she told maki before she ran off, just ashamed that she couldn't try harder.
maki stood there, confused on what had just happened. was she being too hard? she sighed as she assumed it was just something that [name] couldn't apprehend. that she couldn't try harder and she couldn't never try harder.
