Her dragon was not forgotten. As soon as she was well enough to take a few steps, she begged Daemon to let her visit Viky. Of course, Daemon could not deny his sister's wish, so he let her go under the promise that she would not mount her.

To feel scales beneath her hand was a comfort she desperately needed. As Daenerys caressed Viky's snout, the dragon let out a low rumble of contentment. Viky playfully exhaled through her nostrils, making Daenerys hair fly back.

Daenerys chuckled softly. "I missed you too, silly."

Viky nuzzled her nose against a bundle that was tied to the princess chest and sniffled curiously. Daenerys smiled and gently put a hand over the bundle. "That is my new baby," she whispered affectionately. The dragon's eyes widened with curiosity as it continued to sniffle at small creature. "His name is Rhaegon, and when I regain my strength, we will take him for a ride."

Viky let out a low rumble of excitement as if she understood her, flapping her wings in anticipation. The flapping wings created a wind, making the girl's hair fly once again. She had to step back as the dragon continued to stir up a gust of wind.

Daemon appeared by her side and stepped in front of her, making her stand behind him. He raised his hand, signalling for Viky to calm down. The dragon ignored him, and he turned over his shoulder to look at his sister. "I told you bringing the babe was a bad idea."

"What was I supposed to do, leave him? Don't worry, she is just excited," she said. "Lykiri, Viky. Lykiri." (Calm down, Viky. Calm down.)

This time, the dragon obeyed. Daenerys' words seemed to have an effect as the dragon slowly settled down, its wings folding back against its body. Daemon let out a sigh of relief. "Thank the gods..." he muttered.

"I thought you didn't believe in gods," taunted Daenerys.

Daemon rolled his eyes at his sister's comment. "Well, I believe in them enough to be grateful when they actually do something," he retorted, a hint of sarcasm in his voice. Daenerys smirked, knowing she had struck a nerve with her teasing.

"Why are you so grumpy?"

Daemon crossed his arms, his irritation evident. "Maybe because we just narrowly escaped being roasted alive by a dragon," he snapped back. Daenerys chuckled, enjoying her brother's frustration.

"Come on, let's see Caraxes next," she urged.

Daemon rolled his eyes but couldn't help but crack a small smile. "Fine, but only because I could use a distraction from your constant talking," he conceded, begrudgingly following Daenerys towards Caraxes.
