Maze runner one shot requests

Girl

This is not an imagine, just a one-shot from Aris's perspective

(Before you start reading this, the story takes place before Teresa arrives, so this girl is the first girl, and does not trigger the end)

Aris's POV:

It was time for another greenie, so when the box siren sounded while I was on my way to talk to Alby, I wasn't surprised.

I followed the steady stream of people out to the box, and waited there, for the box to come up. When the box finally arrived, Newt jumped down, to greet our new glader. When Newt came back up, he was slightly pale

"I-It's a girl."

The result of this was almost immediate. Some people looked interested, some shocked, some scared. I, personally, was indifferent.

It's a girl. So what? How is that a big change?

Apparently, Minho and Frypan thought it was a big deal though, because they were already bolting towards the kitchen. I followed after them, not wanting them to destroy the whole glade in a blind panic. I made it to the kitchen door, and I opened the door, trying to see what the shuck they were doing in there

"Hey, guys, what's going on-"

I was cut off by Minho shoving past me with an armful of food

"Minho! What the shuck?"

Minho didn't stop to explain, just glanced over his shoulder while running

"Sorry, Aris, I gotta go!"

Well, no use trying to run after him. I turned back to the kitchen, and became even more confused. The drawers and cabinets were all opened, and the contents were spilling out. Frypan was in the middle of it all, using his apron as a carrier for all the food he was taking. What was going on?

"Fry?"

I approached him slowly.

"Hey, Frypan, what's going on? What are you doing?"

Frypan looked up from his apron

"Get the food while you can!"

"Why?"

"Because, somethings gonna happen. I know."

"Frypan, that's ridiculous. What's going to happen?"

Frypan couldn't answer that question, since he'd already bolted out of the kitchen. I was now standing alone in an absolutely destroyed and raided kitchen. I picked up some of the strewn food cans and packages and put them back on the now almost empty selves before walking back outside.

Where did they go?

Everyone was crowded around the new greenie, or wandering around. I went over to Alby, who was just sort of watching everything happen.

"Hi Alby. would you have happened to see two crazy slintheads run by?"

Alby put his hand to his chin in mock thinking

"Hmmm. Let me think. . . were they carrying armloads of food and screaming like maniacs?"

I tilted my head and clutched my forehead feigning deep thinking like Alby

"You know. . . I think they might have."

Alby nodded understandingly.

"Then yes. I believe I did see two lunatics screaming their heads off. They ran into the deadheads a few minutes ago."

"Thanks! Tell the new greenie I said hi!"

"Alright, good luck Aris! After I take the greenie on the tour, tell me all about it."
