You loved bonfire nights! You could finally let loose, and just hang out, and sometimes forget you were even trapped in a maze. The one problem was, that you never got to throw stuff on the fire, and Alby guarded the stack of logs with his life. So, you decided to go to the deadheads and get your own wood. Alby can't say that you can't throw your own logs into the fire. You walk into the deadheads a few dozen feet, and start breaking off branches. As you're headed back, you hear an odd noise.

It sounded almost like music. . .

You decided to investigate, and see what's going on. You approach with caution, not knowing who or what it was. You reach what you think is the source, and peer behind a bush. You see Gally softly clapping, and occasionally humming. He's moving slightly along to his 'beat', and it takes you a second to realize he's trying to dance. You don't know whether to laugh, walk away, or go help him. You compromise by staying still, and when he finishes, or at least stops, you stand up. When Gally see's you, he jumps back a little.

"(Y/N)!"

Then his look of surprise turns to suspicion

". . .How long have you been there?"

You smile

"Oh, maybe a couple seconds. . ."

He stares you down

"Okay, okay. The whole time."

Gally sighs

"That's what I thought. Just please don't tell anyone."

You take a step forward, so you're no longer standing in the bushes

"Why were you doing. . . whatever that was?"

"Well, I was trying to dance, and I don't know, I feel a connection to my life before when I do it."

You knew you wouldn't tell anyone.

But, seeing Gally try so hard just to be connected to his past. . .

Maybe you misjudged him.

You grabbed his hands, and started to do a slow dance

"See, this is how you do a dance with a partner."

You couldn't know for sure since of the slight darkness descending upon the glade, but was gally blushing?

"Y-Yeah, I know that much."

He spun you around in a circle, before you continued your slow waltz. You laughed

"Well, maybe you're not as stupid as you look."

Gally chuckled

"Speaking of looks. . ."

You felt your face go hot as Gally tucked a strand of wayward hair behind your ear

"Slim it Gally!"

You tried to ignore the fact that you thought he looked cute, and that you felt tingly all over, and the fact that you had bever blushed so much in your life.

Were you falling for Gally?

Speaking of falling, Gally suddenly dipped you down, and your faces were almost touching. You took a sharp inhale

"Is this the part where you're gonna kiss me Gally?"

Gally just smirked and pulled you back into your dance

"Why? Do you want me to?"

You felt your face grow somehow even hotter

"I-Um, I, uh-"

Gally started to laugh

"I'm joking."

This time you were the one to spin Gally around. When you finally stopped dancing, Gally locked his arm through yours, and you started walking back together. When you got to the edge of the deadheads, you stopped, still under the cover of the many dead trees. Gally takes his arm out from yours, and looks down at you.

"(Y/N), you won't tell anyone about this, right? I have a reputation."

You roll your eyes

"You mean the reputation of the uptight shank? Maybe you should change that anyway."

Gally sighed

"Just answer my question."

You playfully push Gally

"Oh, come on. You know I won't."

Gally smiles.

"That's what I thought."

You stood there in silence for a few minutes before Gally spoke

"You asked if I was going to kiss you while dancing."

You nod. Gally continues.

"I never did kiss you."

"Yeah, you didn't."

Gally smiled

"Well. . ."

He didn't finish. Instead he just kissed you.

"Well, (Y/N), that's because I was saving it for now."

You smile, knowing you're both blushing like shuck. How long have you wanted this to happen in the back of your mind? You don't know, but feel overjoyed that it finnaily did. You glance over at the bonfire, which looked almost over

"We should probably get back, they'll wonder where we went. . ."

Gally nodded, and you walked out of the deadheads. You now liked bonfire night more than ever.
