Chapter seventeen: I love your cosplay

Amelia's pov:

I was starting to wake up, still in Rain's arms. It felt so warm and safe staying with him like that. I tried not to move so i wouldn't wake him up. "Good morning" I hear Rain whisper. I lifted my head, looking at him. "I thought you were still asleep." I said. "No, i woke up a while ago." Rain said. "Did you sleep well?" I asked. "Yeah, i did" Rain said, smiling.

        I placed my head back to Rain's chest and snuggled closer to him. "Are you hungry?" Rain asked. "Yeah, a little" I said quietly. "We can go eat at the hotel's breakfast." Rain said. "Yeah, but not yet." I said. "Why not?" Rain asked. "I'm comfortable here." I said. Rain laughed.

        I was actually really hungry, but i didn't wanna move. The warmth of Rain's body against mine felt heavenly. We stayed quiet, Rain's steady breathing blowing against my hair, until my stomach growling broke the silence. I could feel Rain's head snap up. "Okay now we are going." Rain said, trying to sit up. "Noooo" I whined, trying to wrap my hands around Rain keeping him down. "No whining, we are going now" Rain said, standing up.

        I tried to pull the blanket over me, only for Rain to grab me by my waist and lift me out of the bed. "Noo, it's so cold" I whined, now sitting at the edge of the bed. "Yeah, but you have to eat." Rain stated. I sighed deeply and stood up to change my clothes.

         As we both were ready changing, we headed out of the room and towards breakfast. Along the way, we bumped to Aether and Sunshine. They were heading to breakfast too. When we arrived we noticed that the whole band was already there. We went to pick up plates for us.

         We sat down on the table with others after we had collected some food on our plates. "Hey, now that everyone is here, i'd like to talk to you about something." Copia started. "You guys know the church's rules about ghoul relationships. The rules are there for a reason and i don't have any saying in that, all of those rules come from the church." Copia continued.

         "Yeah, we know all that, "You can only stay with your mate or a ghoul of same sex" Blah blah blah" Swiss said. "Yes, and that is why i chose the pairs last night. I hope you understand that you i don't mean anything bad with that, but as your papa i'm gonna have to also follow the rules." Copia said. "Where is all of this coming now?" Cirrus asked. "Nowhere, i just wanted to remind you." Copia said. "No, you wouldn't bring this up now if something didn't happen" Swiss said. "No, it's nothing like that." Copia tried.

          "Come on just tell us, did someone broke the rule?" Mountain said. "Fuck you guys, who broke the rule" Sodo whined. "Yeah, what if i Sodo was my mate and you wouldn't let us stay together." Swiss said. "Swiss, Copia just told us to come talk to him if you had found your mate. Did you listen even the slightest?" Cumulus said. "Okay, who here has a mate?" Swiss said. "Okay everyone just shut up-" Sunshine started. "YOU BROKE THE RULE?!" Swiss yelled, pointing at Sunshine. "Just shut up and listen, okay?" Sunshine said, looking at Swiss strictly.

         "We switched up the rooms, okay" Sunshine started. "Who is we" Cirrus asked now interested. Sunshine looked at me quickly, like she was asking for permission. I gave her a little nod as an answer. She sighed deeply before she started again.

          "Aether is my mate and Amelia is Rain's. I was paired to stay with Amelia and Rain was paired with Aether, so we switched up the rooms. We didn't break any rules, we just got caught by Copia. So everyone just shut up." Sunshine said annoyedly. "You are mates? and the two of you too?" Swiss asked, confused.  "Yeah" Rain answered quietly.

        "YOU OWE ME" Cirrus yelled pointing at Cumulus. "What are you talking about?" I asked. "We had a bet that you two are mates, Cumulus didn't believe me" She said laughing. "But Sunshine. I'm almost offended that you didn't tell us." Cirrus continued. "Sorry" Sunshine said shrugging her shoulders.
