Chapter twenty six: You are gonna doom us

Amelia's pov:

"Hey Rain wait up, i'm not that fast" I laughed. "Walk faster" Rain exclaimed. "Come on, we are not in a hurry." I yelled.

        Me and Rain had left Robert's shop a while ago and we were headed towards the unknown. At first we thought that we could head towards the bigger city, but then i think that that is the next place after the smaller town where they would try to look for us. So we headed in the opposite direction.

       We tried to stay away from the roads, wandering through the autumnal woods. "Can we take a break?" I asked. "We have been walking for like 30 minutes?" Rain turned to look at my direction, looking at me amused. "Exactly" I said laughing. "Or can you just walk at my pace, please?" I asked. "Yeah, yeah." Rain said walking to me. "thank you" I laughed.

      We continued walking through the forest. "I can't wait to sleep in my bed again." I said. "Yeah, me too." Rain answered. "Can't wait to sleep in my bed?" I asked amused. "Yeah exactly" Rain laughed. "Your bed is the exact same one as mine" I laughed. "Yeah, but it's not about the bed. Your bed is not good if you're not there." Rain said. I just laughed.

      We had such a fun time walking. We were laughing a lot, making jokes and just chatting about the most random stuff. For a while we were able to forget the reason why we were there after all.

        "We have to figure out where we are gonna stay for the night." I said. "Yeah and it would be great if we could find a place where we could stay a little longer than just a few nights." Rain said. "Yeah." I answered.

        "Wait a minute" I said, getting an idea. "What?" Rain asked. I digged my phone from my pocket and opened snapchat. I opened mine and Evelyn's chat.  "Evelyn? The girl from the ritual?" Rain asked. "Yeah, we have been talking a bit after that ritual." I said.

Me: Heyy. Do i remember right that you said that your family has a summer cottage?
Evelyn: Yeah, but it's pretty far away from where we live so we visit there pretty rarely...
Me: Where exactly is the cottage?
Evelyn: It's *Random address*.
Me: Do you think that we could go there and spent there a while? You can of course say no, if it's not okay.
Evelyn: Of course you can go there. Is everything okay though?"
Me: Well, things has been pretty hard, but i hope things will be okay soon. Thank you so much, this helps us a lot.
Evelyn: Of course it's nothing, just say if there is more that i can do to help

"Tadaa. We have a place to stay." I said to Rain. "What? Really?" He asked. "Yep" I answered. I placed the address to my phone's maps so we would find our way there. By foot we had a little over an hour walk there.

        "Let's get going" Rain said, continuing walking. "Not that fast!" I yelled. Rain looked at me teasingly and walked even faster. "Slower!" I yelled. "I caan't heear you" Rain joked. "You can carry me if you want to walk that fast" I yelled. "Only if you catch me" Rain said, now running forward. "Nooo, wait" I yelled running after him.

Aether's pov:

It has been hours since the nurses closed the door. I have no idea what is happening. We had been waiting in the waiting room anxiously.

     Ifrit told us about what happened at the church and i am so mad. It feels like my blood is boiling from anger. How could anyone do that to someone? Sunshine didn't even do anything, damn it, none of us did nothing wrong. And that Susan had summoned more ghouls, just to hunt us down. It's so wrong to use us against each other. And i was so worried about Sunshine, what if she don't make it? I can't imagine living without her.

        I was feeling overwhelmed from all of this worry and anger. For the last hour i have been mostly staring at my feet, spacing out. How long can they take? I need to know if she is okay.
