I'm not scared anymore

Chapter forty two: What happened?

Aether's pov:

I started to stir awake. Ughh, i feel like i have the worst hangover i've ever had. I was laying on my bed,under my blanket, but i had no idea how did i got here. How can i not remember? Was it because of the moon? I stared at the roof, trying to remember what had happened last night.

      I remember calling Sunshine and walking to my window, but after that it's just blank. I guess i just got tired and went to sleep.

       I slowly sat up and stood up from my bed. It was 10am. I decided to dress up and then head into the common room to eat some breakfast. I could also go and check if Sunshine is awake yet. I hope she slept well, since she was so tired last night.

         I quickly showered and changed my clothes. I walked to my door and just as i was about to push my door open, i noticed that the frame of my door was slightly broken. Like i had barged through it. That's weird, i don't remember anything like that.

         I pushed my door and it opened easily. I stepped into the hallway and i immediately bumped into Cirrus, Amelia and Cumulus.

       "Hey, how was your night?" I asked. "It was...Okay." Cirrus said, sounding a little unsure. "Okaay?" I said, confusedly. "Where are you guys going?" I asked. "Sister Imperator wants to talk to us in the common room." Amelia answered. "Oh, about what?" I asked. "I have no idea, but she said it was urgent." Amelia answered. "Oh, okay. I'm gonna go get Sunshine and i'll be right there." I said. "Yeah, okay." Amelia said as they continued their way.

      "You guys are acting weird." i said, looking after them. "Don't ask." Cirrus sighed. I walked towards Sunshine's rooms, when i was stopped by Eden.

       "Hey Aether, you need to come to the common room." She said. "Yeah, i'll just get Sunshine first." I said. "No don't." She said rushedly. "I mean, she is not there." She quickly continued. "Where else would she be?" I asked. "Someone else got her already. Can you just come to the common room?" She said. "Who else? Where is she?" I asked. "I don't know, but i'm sure you will see her a little later." She said.

       "Why is everyone here acting so weird?" I sighed walking past her towards the common room. "Do you know what Sister wants to talk to us about?" I asked Eden. "Yes." She said quietly. "And you're not gonna tell me?" I asked. "I think it's the best that she tells it." She sighed.

       Something about her too felt off, even more than the others. I mean i don't know her that well yet, or actually i don't know her at all. But something in the way she acted felt strange.

     Others were already in the common room, sitting on the couches as Sister Imperator was standing in front of them. "Quintessence, Air, finally. We have been waiting for you." She stated. "Please take a seat." She continued.

       "I thought Sunshine would be here already? Where is she?" I asked, looking at Sister. "Please just sit down Quintessence." She said. I let out a deep breath and pulled myself a chair and sat down.

        I don't know what is going on here, but i don't have a good feeling about this. First i wake up, not remembering anything about last night and then everyone is acting strange and then Sunshine is nowhere to be found and no one is telling me where she is. I'm starting to get nervous.

       "Okay everyone, thank you for being here. I know that last night must have been really rough for you guys. But the reason you are here is because Copia has asked me to inform you about last night's events that took place around 2am." Sister started.

      "Where is Copia?" Swiss asked. "I'm going to explain that too if you just let me talk." Sister answered. "Sorry." Swiss said quietly. " Ok so i'm just gonna say this directly. Last night Multi ghou- I mean Sunshine ghoulette tried to commit a suicide. Copia went to the-" Sister stated.
