The Kazekage Retrieval Mission: Raikou's Promise

Raikou and Temari woke up early the next day, much like yesterday, Raikou did not want his girlfriend to leave the bed. The two ate breakfast rather quickly and set off towards the gate. Temari's mindset was the quicker she gets to the Sand, the quicker she can come back to the leaf. The couple left the sleeping red hair behind so they could enjoy some nice and alone time. After a lengthy good bye, Temari set off towards her home village but she felt like she was leaving her home.

Raikou: I hate seeing her leave, I probably should go ahead and marry that girl

After waiting until he could not see Temari anymore, Raikou went back to his and Naruto's house. It was around 8 and they had to be at the Hokage's at 9. Raikou was about to check on Naruto when he heard a knock at the door, it was an anbu member saying they were needed immediately at the Hokage's office. Raikou and Naruto rushed to the building, and of course going through the window. Tsunade, Shizune, Kakashi, and Sakura were already inside the office.

Tsunade: Let's get down to business, sometime yesterday or earlier this morning, the Kazekage was kidnapped by the Akatuki. Your mission is simple, go to the Sand and aid them in anyway necessary to retrieve their Kage. Now go

With that, the group of four ninja left for the gate. After arriving at the gate, they left. Naruto was having a hard time not speeding off ahead, but once Raikou talked to him, he slowed down to a better pace for Sakura to keep up with. After a hour or so, Raikou noticed his girlfriend walking along, so he alerted Kakashi who nodded and the group jumped down in front of her

Temari: Kou? What are you doing?

Raikou: No time to explain babe, we gotta go, Gaara has been kidnapped

Temari: O-Okay l-lets go

The group of now five ninja made great time to the land of Wind. They saw the entrance to the village of Sand after a little over two days of travel. The group of ninja did not go through security because they were with Temari. After they entered the village, someone came to inform them of Kankuro. That sped the group up more. Once they got to him, Sakura began to work, but Temari just dropped to the floor, whispering how she lost both of her brothers. Raikou hated seeing her this way, dropped himself beside her, while pulling her into a side hug

Raikou: Hey now it is going to be alright

Temari: We don't know that . .. 

Raikou: We do, Sakura has been training under Lady Fifth and we are going to rescue your brother

Temari: Okay .. . 

Raikou: Stop it, I don't like seeing you sad, you are way too pretty to be sad

Temari: Are you trying to make me feel better by sucking up to me?

Raikou: 'Kisses her head' Whatever I have to do to cheer you up

Temari smiles at that but the two were brought out of it when an old lady decided to attack Kakashi. The old lady was mumbling something about the White Fang but that's not Kakashi so Raikou was pretty confused. Raikou knew who the White Fang was but in his mind Kakashi did not look like his dad that much

Raikou: Hey Baka Sensei, what was that about?

Kakashi: Who knows

Raikou: 'Dead pans' You didn't ask?

Kakashi: Nope, doesn't concern me

Raikou: Kinda seemed like it did

Kakashi: Nope
