That night I decided that instead of staying in the house thinking about anyone. I would go out and have some fun. So, I decided to surprise my sister and visit her at the club. I took a shower and got dressed. I walked out the door feeling sexy. I walked to the elevators and pushed the button. When the doors opened, there was no Terrence. I let out a sigh of relief. I was wondering if I would feel like this every time I had to leave the building. The elevator door then opened, and I stepped off.

"Excuse me. I just wanted to say that I love your shoes." a woman's voice said, standing in the lounge area.

I looked over and said, "Thank you. I treated myself this week. A well needed gift." I said to her.

"Well, if you could treat yourself to anything that would be the thing. They are hot."

"Thanks." I said, smiling.

"If you don't mind me asking, where did you get them?"

"Madeline, is everything alright?" Terrence said as he walked behind and placed his arm around her waist.

My smile instantly left my face. I licked my lips and turned my head. Luck was not on my side. Why did she have to stop me? She should have admired my shoes from afar and let me keep on walking. I turned my head back toward them and smiled.

"Yes, I just was admiring her shoes. They are really sexy, don't you think?" she asked Terrence, placing her hand on his stomach as if he were already her man.

"Yeah, they're nice. Hello, Adriana, you look nice tonight." Oh, now he speaks, I said to myself.

I gave half of a smile and said, "Thank you."

"Your date will appreciate that you put so much thought into your outfit. He must be a special guy for you to get all dressed up for."

The nerve of him. "Uhm, well...I'm sorry to disappoint you, but I'm not going out with anyone but myself tonight. Your date though..." I held out my hand over to her and said, "she is very beautiful."

Madeline was a nice-looking girl. She was light-skinned with very dark features. Her hair was cut short in short of a pixie cut. She was about five five and very thin.

Then Terrence smiled.  "Sorry, Madeline, Adriana is the mother of my godson."

"Oh okay, nice meeting you."

"It's nice to meet you, also." I said with a straight face. "Well, I have to get going."

"I guess we will be seeing a lot each other." She said happily as she wrapped her arms around Terrence's waist.

I shook my head, and no words left my mouth. "Oh, that would be so awesome." I looked at my watch and said, "Uh...I-I really need to get going." Then I walked away before I started crying.

Then, when I thought the torcher was over, Terrence said, "Oh yeah, A?"

I turned back and answered, "Yes?"

"You didn't let Madeline know where you got your shoes."

"Oh, I didn't?" I rolled my eyes, turned back around, and kept walking out the door. I know that it was childish, she didn't do anything to me, but he just pissed me off trying to make a fool out of me, throwing her all up in my face like we were in high school.

When I got to the club, I was all fired up. I wanted to drink, dance away my pain, and forget about Terrence and Madeline and what they might be doing in his apartment. What kind of orgasms she was having on his dick? How did he kiss her and her body? Did she love kissing his hard body as much as I did? My sister was very happy and surprised to see me. I must admit I had a little more fun than I thought I would. I danced, and I drank and talked to different men. I got free drinks all night, not from my sister, but from men. I started to understand why women dressed up and came out and partied. The attention from the men was great, and the jealousy from the women was even better.

"Damn, sis you are really having yourself a ball, aren't you?" Niecey yelled as she walked over to me on the dance floor and started dancing with me.

"Girl I never knew that partying could be so fun." I screamed.

"When you wake up in the morning let me know if you feel the same way."

"I'm not thinking about tomorrow. I'm thinking about tonight. I'm trying not to think about Terrence and Madeline."

"Who is, Madeline?" My sister asked.

"Madeline is Terrence's new girlfriend who wants to know where I got my shoes." I said as I pointed down to my shoes.

"What, Terrence has a new girlfriend?"

"Yeah, and she likes my shoes and so does he."

"Well, those are some fly ass shoes." She said. "The girl has good taste."

I nudged her a little and said, "Don't you have some work to do?" I didn't want to hear that.

"No."

"Well go find some." Then I walked away and started dancing by myself again. When I was ready to leave, I went to tell my sister goodbye.

"Oh no you are not driving home in this condition." Then she called over Darrell, one of the men who helped my sister out sometimes. She says that she doesn't like him, but I know she does. I told her he was not sniffing around there for nothing. She asked him to take my keys and make sure that I got home safely. She then said that she would drop me off at my car in the morning.
