REGINA's POINT OF VIEW

"Oh, Regina, napunta ka sa office ko?" tanong ni Tita Destiny— or Ma'am Destiny— nang makapasok ako sa office niya.

"Magpapasa lang po ng papers para sa preparation ng welcoming party," I said, smiling and holding up the papers. Nanlaki ang mata ni Ma'am Destiny nang makita niya kasing kapal ng isang ream ng paper ang kapal ng papers na ipapasa ko.

"Um, is that just from the SG?" she asks. I shook my head.

"No Ma'am, kasama na po dito ang proposals ng ibang orgs from different programs and departments."

Ma'am Destiny sighed in relief and told me to leave the papers on her table. After that, I thanked her and left her office.

"Good luck sa exam," she said before I closed the door.

Pumunta ako sa office para ibalik ang susi at nakita ko na nasa ilalim na naman ng puno si Joaquin. I walked up to him and when I was near he looked up from his phone. His eyes slightly widened when he saw me but then he smiled an awkward smile.

"Hey, just so you know, I'm not cutting," he said quickly.

"Wala pa ako sinasabi," I said, frowning at him and crossing my arms.

"I know what you're thinking, Regina," he said.

"So anong ginagawa mo dito?" tanong ko sa kanya. He shrugged.

"Nagpapatay ng oras bago yung next exam ko?" he said in a questioning tone. I raised my eyebrow.

"Bakit parang hindi ka sure?" I crossed my arms.

"Promise, I'm really just here to kill time until my next exam," he said defensively. "At nakapag review na rin ako."

I rolled my eyes and shook my head, "Fine. Pero bakit dito? Malayo 'tong office ng SG sa department building niyo."

He shrugged, "Malaki puno dito eh. Walang puno sa department namin."

"Okay, pupunta ka mamaya sa meeting ah," I said.

"Why?"

"Kasi isa ka sa mga photographers?"

He nodded in understanding, "Right. Yeah, I'll be there."

"Good."

Nagpaalam na ako sa kanya at pumunta na ako sa loob ng office para ibalik ang susi. Bumalik na rin siya sa classroom niya para sa next exam niya. I sighed as I walked back to my classroom. First day pa lang ng midterms pero pagod na pagod na agad ako.

"Regina!"

Napalingon ako sa tumawag at nakita ko si Red na kasama si Luxus. She was waving at me so I waved back.

"Where are you going?" she asked.

"Classroom. My next exam is about to start. You?" I said.

"Lux and I finished our exams early so we're going to grab a bite," she said. "Good luck with your exam, Regina."

"Thanks. Ingat kayo," I said and smiled a teasing smile to Luxus.

"Ingatan mo ah," pangaasar ko sa kaniya. I saw his ears turn red as he frowned at me.

"Sana bumagsak ka," he said and I laughed. Nagpaalam na silang dalawa kaya naglakad na ulit ako.

Red and Luxus are such a great match. They look good together, they look happy with each other, and I don't know... Their chemistry is better compared to when he was dating Anne.
