" The way no one knows my unpolished soul, makes me question my existence."

- Pete

" Please, don't let that smile dissappear again. I missed your smile Pete, It suits you well...."

Nobody hasn't said that to me after fifteen years. Only one person said those words to me, it is also fifteen years ago. The same person who complemented about my smile fifteen years ago is doing the same thing right now.

I looked at the owner of the voice which made everyone to stop their laughs. He smiled at me the same way he did fifteen years ago when I looked at him after his young self admired my smile.

It didn't take any milliseconds for two of us to lock our eyes. His dark brown eyes were filled with the warmness I knew from the seven year old Vegas.

The familiar aching of my heart started to linger. I knew I won't be able to take it anymore and surely will break down in to tears. So, I swiftly broke the eye contact and pretended like I heard nothing.

I didn't wait for others' reaction to what Vegas said. I knew they were confused after hearing it. Before anything else happens, I stood and gave Venice to Porsche. Then, I looked at others who had astonished expressions on their faces.

" I am sorry to ruin our little party, but I have to go now. My grandma told me to meet her tonight." I said.

" It's okay Pete, you can go. We will take care of Venice." Porsche said understanding my situation. My heart felt so relieved that Venice can stay with his uncles.

To be honest, I really didn't want to leave the party and meet the old woman. Because, I knew she called me to brag about something. But, being there with Vegas only made me anxious. I didn't know how Vegas felt after hearing that I wanted to leave.

" Danielle, let's go. She will be mad at me if we're late." I told to Danielle who had worried eyes. He just nodded without saying anything and came closer to me.

" We've got to get going." I bowed and Danielle did the same.

When we left the dorm and arrived near to the car, I sensed that Danielle was troubled with something.

" Danii, What is wrong?" I asked while I sat down on the passenger seat.

" Sir, are you sure that you wanna meet her?"

" Yeah, if not you already know what will happen." I sighed.

" But, what if she-"

" Danii, it's okay. I can bear it." I said to allay his worrisome.

" Okay Sir, then I will stay there with you if they do something to you."

" No, there's no need. After, you drop me there, you can go and take Venice from the Dorm. Then, come to pick me from her mansion." He just nodded to my order.

After about an hour of driving, we came to the compound of the mansion that my mother spent her childhood.

When I was a child, I used to walk around the mansion holding my mom's hand. She told me fun stories about how she and her siblings ran in the mansion from one room to other room to catch each other. I used to laugh hearing those stories because she was that good at explaining every detail of those memories.

But now, I rarely visit that mansion. Because, it is where the person who ruined my whole life lives.

The woman who ruined my mother's life, the woman who ruined my maternal grandmother's life, the woman who came to my grandfather's life just to possess treasury...
