Watching Me

How did they know that? I only wear the shirt at home. I've never worn it anywhere else. I read the note again and again, and again.... "Hey" I feel someone grabbing my shoulder. I turned around with a panicked expression on my face. Only to be met with Brock staring at me confused. "Wow, chill man. It's just me. What's gotten you so freaked out anyways?" I didn't tell him. I couldn't let him know how scared I actually was. "Nothing important dipshit." I tried really hard to act tough and that nothing was bothering me. "Okayyy? Anyways, wanna ditch? I've got P. E. first period and I don't feel like doing shit today." Is he dumb? We can't ditch anymore or we'll be expelled. I usually wouldn't care, but me getting expelled would mean disappointing my mother and not seeing Y/n."Do whatever you want, man. I'm not tryna get expelled so..." I put the note in my pocket and closed my locker. I had math next. I didn't feel like going, but I had to. "Fine... Whatever. If I die in P.E. today it's your fault." He said while flipping me off. I flipped him off aswell "Sucks to suck I guess!". And with that, I headed to math class.

Karla was absent today. Thank god. I can't stand her. Since I'm not doing so well in math, the teacher decided to partner me up with someone. "Anyone wanna be Vance's partner for today? Be nice and help out a classmate." the teacher looked around the classroom for anyone who would help me. Nobody raised their hand, everyone was too scared of me. Well, everyone except... "Ah! Y/N, yes so nice of you to volunteer. Alright, everything's set! You two partner up and let's begin with today's lesson." I decided to sit next to Y/N since they were further away from the teacher. They gave me a smile which I returned.

I couldn't understand a single word that was said. Y/N also seemed puzzled. They barely had a C in math, but they were still better than me at it. Math just confused and melted my brain. It was sooo boring. I zoned out for pretty much half of the period. When I wasn't zoned out I would take quick glances at Y/N or just doodle on some random pages in my notebook. I looked at the board and found a problem which looked easy enough. So I attempted to solve it. I soon realized that I had no clue what I was doing. Y/N saw me struggling and explained what I need to do. Their words made more sense. They guided me through the problem and at the end I finally solved it. Y/N checked the answer and gave me a thumbs-up, signaling that it was correct. I kinda felt proud of myself, but I wouldn't have solved it without Y/N's help. I'm grateful to have them in my life.

The bell rang. Class was finally over. I gathered my things and waited for Y/n. They were always slow when it came to gathering their supplies and putting them in their bag. "Vance, would you mind stepping outside for a moment so I could speak with Y/N?" the teacher asked. I looked at Y/N who just nodded at me. I exited the class and decided to wait outside for them. The door was closed so I couldn't hear what they were talking about. After a few minutes Y/N finally exited the class." What did you talk about?" I asked. They shook their head "oh, nothing important". Even tho they smiled at me, I saw their eyes tear up. Y/N started walking to our next class, not once looking away from the floor. I followed, slightly worried for them. They never really talked about their feelings, neither did I. But I really want to know what's going on.

We had english next. I decided to sit next to them. They were the best in our english class. Kinda ironic considering english isn't their native language. Class started and I couldn't help but look at y/n every once in a while. Just to make sure they're alright. I decided to write them a little note, I didn't wanna get scolded by the teacher today, didn't feel like it. In the note I asked them if they're alright and passed it to them. They waited for the teacher to turn around before opening the note. I think they knew that I saw them tear up. They hesitated before they wrote something down, passing the note to me afterwards. The note said "could be better". I took a moment to admire their handwriting. It was neat. They used cursive which could be read very well. I'm usually pretty bad at reading cursive so you might imagine how their neat handwriting surprised me. For some reason I remembered the notes. Not the same handwriting. Not even close. I looked at them and gave a sympathetic smile. They smiled weakly at me before turning their attention back to the teacher. I didn't wanna be too invasive, so I didn't ask them any more questions. I don't want to push them to talk about their feelings when they don't want to.

The day went by slow. After what felt like forever, it was finally time for lunch. I went to my locker. Once I opened it I was stunned to see another note. Two in one day? That's new. I opened it up and read it.

Sorry for scaring you this morning. You walked past my house yesterday and I saw you wearing the shirt so I wanted to compliment it. :(

Oh... That's right. I went on a walk yesterday before bed. I completely forgot about it. Well, I guess I don't have a stalker afterall... Maybe I'm just paranoid for no reason. I decided to read the note again. The first sentence caught my attention. They saw me read the first note. They saw me panicking...Which means that.. They were watching me today.
