I Always Knew

Chapter Five

Rachel's POV

It's been a week since my parents funeral. I feel so depressed, but my parents wouldn't want me to be like this. I'm fully moved back into Finn's house, and they have all given me my space, but I think it's time I get out of this funk. I got out of bed and walked on the old creaky stairs. Burt needs to fix these stairs. I walked my way into the kitchen at a snails pace. They all looked at me like I was a ghost. I must have looked the same way because there was a pretty girl sitting next to Finn.

"Rachel!" Kurt screamed and ran up to suffocate me with his big hug. Kurt has been the only one in my room this past week. He's a really good person to talk to, and he's the best shoulder to cry on. Finn hasn't even tried to go in my room. I guess he was just focused on that pretty bitch. Wait. That's Liz! She's on the cheerios with me. Why would he pick a bossy, bitchy cheerio over me? I'm a nice and caring cheerio. Wait, why am I thinking about him picking me?

"Rachel!" Kurt snapped his fingers at me.

"Sorry, I was daydreaming." I said faking.

"I was just saying how cute Liz and Finn are!" He said.

"Oh, I didn't really know you were together. Since you haven't talked to me in a week, Finn." I said guilt tripping him.

"Yeah.." he said scratching the back of his neck. I rolled my eyes and grabbed my plate.

"I heard about your parents. I'm sorry Rachel." I heard Liz say. Surprisingly it sounded like she meant it.

"It's okay." I fake smiled.

After I finished my plate I drove over to Santana's. I needed to tell someone about my crush. I didn't have too many friends. Santana, Quinn, Kurt, and Finn are about it.

Before I knew it I was at San's. I knocked on the door, and Britt opened. I forgot to say, Britt is one of my best friends too.

"Rachie, you look like you've been crying. What's wrong unicorn?" She said upset.

"Let me come in and I'll explain." I said as she opened the door wider for me to get through.

As I explained everything to the two girls, tears were pouring down my face.

"Rach, I want you to stay here for a while. Away from assface pyramid boobs." Santana said referring to Finn.

"Okay. Ya know what San?" I asked her. Brittany got up to go to the bathroom.

"What?" She asked.

"This reminds me of how we first met." I said smiling. She came over to me and hugged me.

"One of the best days in my life." She smiled and walked away. I decided now would be the time to text Finn.

"Hey, Finn?"

"Where are you? I was worried since you ran out earlier."

"Like you care. Listen, I'm staying at Santana's for a while."

"I do care! Why would you think that Rach?"

"Because you rather be with your perfect girlfriend. Goodbye Finn. I'll be back in a couple of days up to a week."

"Okay. I love you Rach."

I started crying. God, why did I have to fall for my best friend? I decided not to answer him. Since I meant the phrase 'I love you' more than Finn did.

Finn's POV

No answer from Rachel yet. I know she's safe, I just want to know what's wrong with her. I know her parents just died, but she seemed okay until she saw me with Liz this morning. That's it! She saw me with Liz! She's jealous. She likes me too! Calm down Finn. Maybe you should text Santana just to make sure your right? Just do it.

"Hey Santana. It's assface." -Me

"What do you want?"- Santana Lopez

"What's wrong with Rach?" -Me

"She thought you liked her back, Finn."- Santana Lopez

"San, stop! She likes me?!" -Me

"It was obvious at her parents funeral, blubber." -Santana Lopez

"I have to find a way to make this right."-Me

"Damn straight Hudson." -Santana Lopez

"By the way?"-Me

"What?"-Santana Lopez

"I like her too."-Me

"😐It was obvious Finn, you didn't have to tell me. I knew you guys would fall for each other sooner or later."-Santana Lopez

"Tell Rach I said hi."-Me

"Not a good idea, she's sleeping. She's really upset. Goodnight Double Pyramid."-Santana Lopez

"Night Satan."-Me

This was all my fault. How do I fix it?
